Epilogue

>Danny’s POV<

Guarding this kid wasn’t as fun as it thought, and I thought it wasn’t going to be that fun to begin with. I was just happy that Arturo had to suffer with me, and to entertain me.

Currently the two of us were playing poker, just for fun though. Lucky for him, he sucked at fibbing, especially in card games. He’d always have a smile when he had a good hand.

Getting bored of beating him I set the deck down. “Oh come on, one more game, I’m just warming up,” Arturo said with a big smile.

“No, its no fun to play against you, you suck!” I leaned back in the chair I was in and pulled my phone out to text my mate: -I miss you-. Setting the chair back on for legs I waited for his reply.

“So why do you think Lycaon did this to his son?”

“Either a trap or he isn’t his actual son,” I answered my friend. I looked back at the kid, who was still fast asleep. “I guess the former rather then the latter.”

“If it is a trap then he wouldn’t have hurt his son this badly, his whole side was torn off,” I shrugged.

“He doesn’t seem like he is all their anyways,” Arturo nodded, with a thinking look on his face.

------

A few hours passed with nothing, Arturo had fallen asleep and Ryan wasn’t replying to my texts. So I was bored out of my mind! I had resorted to counting the tiles on the ceiling…I was that bored.

Arturo started to snore loudly which sent me around the bend. Raising my foot I kicked his chair over, making him tip back. He woke suddenly and looked up at me with a glare.

“If I have to be bored then fine, if I have to listen to you snore as well, then it ain’t happening,” I told him with a blank face.

“You could have at least woken me up in a nicer way,” he whined, looking at me. “Deal with it,” he grumbled a bit and looked away from me. I looked over at the kid for the tenth-billion time today. He looked so weak laying there, slowly moving his arm to the edge of the bed…wait a second. “Hey kid! You awake?” I could see him stiffen quickly. “I’ll take that as a yes,” I got up and pulled the covers down from his face. A pair of brown eyes looked up at me with fear in them. “I won’t hurt you.”

“Where am I?” The kid asked quietly with a horse voice.

“In my dad’s pack,” he didn’t answer but stayed completely still. “So are you Lycaon’s son?” He nodded slowly. “Then why did he attack you?”

“Cause I’m not his mate’s kid,” his voice held pain within it, “he doesn’t like me cause of it, he hope that your pack would attack me to get rid of me.”

“Well a member of my pack helped you,” he started to get all teary. Great now I have crying kid on my hands, I thought with a frown.
