Sorry for the spelling mistakes in the last chapter, I just went through it and I was disgusted with the silly mistakes. So this chapter will be better...hopefully.

>Lachlan's POV<

Chapter 16

I woke up beside my mate and smiled. I was proud of him, my mate was going to be the beta soon. I couldn't help but be happy with the news. I rolled over and watched his sleeping form, I leaned down and kissed his forehead. He looked so peaceful sleeping there, he looked like a little kid.... 'Maybe his mom has some baby pictures,' at the thought an evil grin swept across my face. Now I had to ask his mom. I rubbed my sleeping mates stomach a bit then got up, and went to the bathroom quickly, I popped back in, seeing that he was still fast asleep, I went down stairs to see of anyone else was awake.

I could smell the coffee in the kitchen, obviously someone was awake. I walked into the kitchen, and the person I wanted to see was there, Arturo's mom. "Hi mom," I said with a smile. His parents, more his mom, forced me into calling them mom and dad. I didn't care that much since they were, technically.

"Morning Lachlan," she replied with a smile.

"I have a quick question," my evil grin back, she nodded for me go on. "Do you have baby pictures of Arturo?" She laughed.

"I'll show you once he's up," I sat down on the chair opposite her with a big smile. The two if us talked about little things, she kept away from family in general, which I appreciated. I knew that I could talk about my family, I just didn't want to, at all. This has been the only time in my life that I've actually enjoyed myself, been happy. It wasn't just cause of my mate, but cause of where I was, with family, family I could call my own.

An hour passed before Arturo came racing down, looking as if he saw a ghost. Once he saw me he relaxed. "What's got you all riled up?" I asked.

"You weren't in bed, so I got worried," my heart fluttered at his words.

"Aw," I coed. He smiled and sat down on the chair beside me, I got up and sat in his lap. His mom got up with a smile and left the kitchen.

"Where's she going?" I nuzzled his neck, breathing in his scent.

"Beats me," my evil smile was back. The two of us sat there and cuddled, not moving. His mom came back in with a big book, she sat down beside us and opened it up. Immediately there were baby pictures of Arturo.

"Mom!" He whined loudly. "I don't want Lachlan to see me in those photos!" He tried to grab them from her.

"But I want to see them," I said with a frown, kissing his face. He slouched his shoulders in defeat, I tuned around in his lap and started to look at all the photos of him. His little brother came in an went to look at the photos, Arturo growled a bit, stopping Klen in his tracks.

"Why can't I look at what you guys are looking at?" He asked in his little kids voice.

"Cause I said so," I elbowed Arturo gently.

"It's his baby photos," I said, grabbing the book out of their mom's hands. I showed him the pictures that we were on. He smiled, a laughing smile. Arturo quickly grabbed the books out of my hands and quickly put it underneath him. "Arturo," I whined loudly.

"Nope, no more baby pictures of me," he seemed set in stone. I smiled and turned around, he growled lowly at me. I leaned up I bit his earlobe gently.

"Give me the book back, and I might give you a present later," I whispered to him.

"What kind of present?" He whispered back in a husky tone.

"Just think it over while I'm looking at the rest of your baby photos," he slowly raised himself up and got the book out from under him, he gave it to me and I turned back around so I was facing the table. I continued to look through the photos, cooing and complementing him on how cute he looked. His mom was making breakfast for the family, Arturo's dad was mildly helping, he was laughing to hard at some of the things I was saying to Arturo. I knew my mate was blushing hard, but I didn't care, I was complementing him and I found that I good enough reason to make him blush. I closed the book and placed it on the table, turning around to see my mates bright red face.
