"It's a pleasure to meet you, Isaiah," Butterfly said, with an outstretched hand.

Isaiah's jaw flinched as he grabbed Butterfly's hand. "Nice to meet you too."

Butterfly tried to remove her hand from Isaiah's, but he held a tight grip around her petite hand. Butterfly had a tight grin spread across her face, as Dottie looked on in confusion.

Isaiah glanced at Dottie. "Do you mind if I show your daughter what we're working on?"

Dottie looked at Isaiah a moment before responding. "Go ahead, sweetie."

Isaiah gestured for Butterfly to go ahead of him. "After you."

Butterfly stalked passed him over to the center of the yard where the fountain was going to be put. Isaiah stood in front of her with an intense gaze. If looks could kill, she would be dead already.

"Why are you pretending like you don't know me?" Isaiah asked.

"Believe me when I say, I did it for your benefit."

Isaiah scoffed. He stepped so close to Butterfly that she could smell the manly scent of cologne and sweat coming off of him. "How so?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"If I were to say I knew you, my mother would start asking all kinds of questions."

"I'm a big boy Butterfly. I think I can handle it."

Butterfly sighed. "You don't know my mother. If she knew how we met, I'm pretty sure she would disapprove of..."

Isaiah arched his eyebrows and said, "Of what?"

Butterfly moved her hands back and forth in-between their space. "I'm trying to think of what to call what's going on between us."

Isaiah looked up at the sky and shook his head. Then he looked back at her and stated, "Why do you feel the need to put an emphasis on what's going on between us? Why can't you just go with the flow?"

"I'm not a go with the flow type of person," Butterfly said, putting a hand on her hip.

Isaiah looked her up and down and nodded his head. "I can see that."

Butterfly frowned and said, "What is that supposed to mean?"

Isaiah grinned and replied, "It means you need to loosen up. You're too uptight."

Was he serious? How dare he. She continued to glare at him, while he continued smiling down at her. Cocky bastard.

"Don't pretend like you know me."

Isaiah sighed."That's the problem. I don't know you, but I want to get to know you."

"Well, you just ruined your chances. Have a nice life."

Butterfly left Isaiah standing in the middle of the yard, with a frown displayed on his face. She ignored the callings of her mother and kept heading towards the sliding doors. Once she opened the door she slammed it shut, throwing all her strength and anger into the motion. She let out a breath of air before turning around to see Isaiah still standing rigidly with a menacing glare directed towards her.

Butterfly wiggled her fingers at him, with a smirk. "Cocky bastard," she muttered to herself, as she stalked across the carpeted floor.

"How can you be so rude?" Dottie asked.

Damn him. Isaiah told Richard how Butterfly had been so rude to him. Now, they were thinking of pulling out of Dottie's project due to her rude behavior.
