"Girl, what black people you know go camping?" Cynthia asked. She had been giving Butterfly a hard time, ever since she told her she was going camping with Isaiah.

"I think it'll be fun." Butterfly was nervous about camping with Isaiah, even though she was putting up a good front in front of Cynthia.

"I can't see you going camping, though. You're too prissy for that." Cynthia ignored Butterfly's threatening glare and continued to look through the lingerie hanging on the racks.

"I am not. I just don't like to be without running water."

Cynthia started laughing. "See there you go. You won't last one day."

They both continued to laugh and joke around with each other. Cynthia stated she had to go to the restroom, so Butterfly continued to look around the lingerie store. That's when she saw Lance and Asia come into the store. She tried to ignore their imploring glances, but that just made matters worse.

Lance reached her first, with Asia right on his tail. "Hey, sexy," Lance whispered.

Butterfly rolled her eyes and walked over to the nearest wrack. He continued to follow her, while Asia gave her death glares. Everywhere she went they followed. Butterfly turned on her heels and stared them both down.

"What do you two want?" she asked tilting her head to the side.

"I need to talk to you about my brother," Asia replied.

Butterfly hesitated a moment. She agreed to talk to her in private. She may not like Asia, but she was Isaiah's sister after all, so she would listen to what she had to say. Lance looked at the two of them as a fight was about to break out.

Asia stared at Butterfly a moment before speaking her mind. "I'm going to cut right to the chase. I don't think you and my brother should be hanging out together."

Butterfly frowned. "Why not?"

Asia shook her head as if Butterfly should already know the reason. "I don't want my brother to end up being the rebound guy."

"I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not jumping into a relationship with him. I'm just enjoying his company."

Asia rolled her eyes. "That's the problem. I think he wants a relationship with you. You need to tell my brother where you stand. If you don't then I will."

Asia left Butterfly standing alone, worried and confused. Was Isaiah really into me like that? Did he really want to be in a relationship with me? The questions continued to swirl around in her head until she felt a strong tap on her shoulder.

"Girl, are you okay? I go to the bathroom and come back to find you standing here like a statue. Was that Lance I just saw too?"

Butterfly ignored Cynthia's questions. She went up to the counter to pay for her lingerie. Cynthia continued to ask the same questions over and over, as they walked out of the lingerie shop into the crowded mall.

"I really don't want to talk about it right now," Butterfly replied, sighing.

Cynthia tucked her curly weave behind her ear and cocked her head to the side. "Alright, I'll let it go this time. But I'll be asking about it later on."

"That's fine. Let's get out of here."

They had met up at the mall, so they said their goodbyes to one another at the parking lot. Butterfly promised to call Cynthia to tell her all of what happened after she went to the bathroom. They went their separate ways, while Butterfly kept thinking about the conversation she had with Asia.
