-#[continuation: y/n's pov]:
Just as I was about to step out-My eyes caught something. And everything inside me...froze. My breath hitched. My foot paused mid-step on the pavement.
There-right in front of the villa-on the other side of Jungkook's car, the passenger door slowly opened. And from it, the one who stepped out was... Vivian.
My breath hitched, eyes slightly widened as I took in her figure. What is she... doing with Jungkook? A cold wave rolled down my spine the moment my eyes landed on her.
She stood there, tall and poised, her long beige coat swaying faintly in the wind. Her heels clicked softly against the pavement as she turned.
The streetlight above caught the subtle shine in her hair, and for a moment, it was as if time itself had paused around as I watched her leaning into the open window and saying something to him-too low for me to hear, but her expression was calm... almost too calm.
I watched it frozen.
I couldn't hear a word. But I couldn't tear my eyes away either. Seconds passed. Then the door on the driver's side opened-and there he was.
Jungkook.
He stepped out, his expression unreadable, a shadow of his usual self-but all I could do was stare. His eyes focused on Vivian as he made his way toward her.
No hesitation. No glance around. They stood there-talking. His lips moved. She nodded. Back and forth. Quiet. Too close. And I just... watched.
My heart began to ache, like someone was pressing a stone into my chest-slow, heavy, suffocating.
Even watching them standing together like that...was painful. It was like watching something I loved deeply slip through my fingers, and there was nothing I could do about it.
And just then-as he turned to leave, heading toward the gate. I watched her move, my brows furrowed at the sight and then-
I saw it.
Vivian stepped forward quickly, her movement way too fast-and wrapped her arms around him from behind. Hugging him.
Hugging him.
My breath got caught in my throat. My fingers tightened around the car door handle, knuckles turning white.
My heart dropped at the sight before me...but my eyes...they didn't dare to look away.
He...didn't move. Jungkook-he...just stood there. Frozen. Silent. He didn't return it, no-but he didn't pull away either.
He didn't even flinch.
Something inside me broke...so bad noticing it that now it almost physically pained me.
Her cheek was pressed against his back. Her arms wrapped tightly around his chest-like she belonged there. Like...he belonged to her.
And he just...stood there. That silence-that stillness hurted me more than anything he could've said. It felt as if something inside me had now collapsed.
Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to spill, but I couldn't blink. I couldn't even move. I was too scared I'd miss something.
And then-he reached down. Unwrapping her arms around him as he turned around slowly.
He said something.
I couldn't hear...I couldn't tell what but as she looked up at him...I could tell how she felt about him-her expressions remained unreadable but...something about that gaze was...hateful.
