I hope you all have seen my announcement on the channel.
I want to emphasize the importance of being respectful towards each other in the comments section. I will not tolerate offensive remarks made by some readers. I'll just block and report.
It's simply not acceptable.
Additionally, please refrain from filling the comments section with messages like "update" and "complete the target ASAP." I invite comments because I value your opinions, not just constant reminders about updates.
I would greatly appreciate your cooperation. And to all the silent readers, if your fingers aren't too tired today, please remember to press that "★." Thank you!

-#[An hour later: City Hospital]:[Author's POV]:
The smell was the first assault, that sharp, chemical bite of antiseptic, so sterile that it almost choked all the air of hope within him.
Then came the light: a relentless, buzzing white from the floors and ceilings, bleaching everything down to bone.
Underneath it all, he could hear it all, the faint, frantic echo of footsteps tap-tap-tapping out a rhythm of other people's emergencies.
He could feel the fear of people standing around him...the fear of losing someone they held dear.
Jungkook's palms were slick with sweat, his breath catching in his throat as he practically collapsed against the reception counter.
"J-Jeon y/n," he choked out, the name cracking in the middle. "She was brought in... a car accident-"
The receptionist barely looked up, and quickly started flipping through a chart. "ER. Trauma bay three. Down the hall, turn left."
He didn't wait to thank her. Couldn't. His body was already moving, feet slapping too loud against the tile, his own heartbeat a wild drum in his ears.
He couldn't think of anything or anyone else but her. Ava and Ethan trailed somewhere behind, their voices were like a distant murmur he couldn't parse.
The hallway stretched into a nightmare like a tunnel of that punishing light.
Every fluorescent panel now seemed to taunt him by endlessly stretching the distance between him and her.
His chest squeezed tighter and tighter until, he watched the emergency doors slid open with a soft, mechanical sigh.
Chaos erupted. Voices crashing over each other, orders being barked, the snap of latex gloves, the rustle of plastic.
A river of blue scrubs and white coats swirled with sharp, urgent purpose around a single, central point.
A single stretcher.
And then... for him, the world just muted.
His breath hitched, dead in his throat when his eyes finally found...her.
Her dark, tangled hair was now stuck to her skin, matted with a rust-dark stain at her temple.
The oxygen mask clung to her face, fogging with a shallow, too-slow whisper of a breath.
The faint rise and fall of her chest was the only thing holding him together at that moment.
An IV snaked from her arm, dripping something clear and lifeless into her veins.
And underneath that thin, harsh cotton of the hospital gown-was their two months of fragile, secret life clung on. Just barely.
His vision swam, tears he couldn't blink away. He sucked in a ragged breath, like his nose just wasn't enough anymore.
