-#[later that night]:[y/n's pov]:
I opened the door, my heart racing with anticipation and a bright smile on my face, ready to finally see Jungkook after what felt like an eternity.
But- the moment the door swung open, my smile vanished. Standing there wasn't him, but his driver, with a somber expression that immediately filled me with dread.
As the driver spoke, the world around me seemed to collapse. Tears streamed down my face, and the weight of his words made it feel like the ground beneath me had disappeared.
Everything was spiraling, and I couldn't grasp how- it had all gone so wrong....so fast.

-#[#skiptime: 3 days later]:
The night felt suffocating as I stood outside Jungkook's door. My heart felt unbearably heavy with each passing second.
I knocked softly, knowing he probably wouldn't answer. But I wasn't here for a response-I just wanted him to know that I was there, standing by him, sharing his pain in silence.
Losing his grandfather had been a crushing blow. He was the only person who he considered as his family before me, and his sudden death had ripped through Jungkook's world, leaving a wound so deep it seemed impossible to heal.
Everything had fallen apart so quickly, and I felt helpless watching him break under the weight of it all...so fucking weak.
I stood there, lost in my thoughts, when suddenly the door creaked open. Jungkook stood there, his eyes empty, his face pale. He didn't say a word, just stared at me, and I could feel the depth of his sorrow pouring from him.
"Jungkook-" I started, my voice soft, but before I could finish, he stepped forward.
Without warning, he leaned into me, his head resting on my shoulder. His body slumped slightly, as if the strength had left him, and he just needed to feel the presence of someone who cared. I went quiet, wrapping my arms around him gently, feeling the weight of his pain.
He didn't cry, didn't speak, but I could feel his anguish in the way he held onto me, like I was his last thread of comfort. And in that moment, all I wanted was to be there for him, to let him know that no matter how dark things got, he wasn't alone.
Jungkook stayed still, his head heavy on my shoulder, his breath warm but shaky against my neck. I could feel the tension in his body, the weight of all the unshed emotions pressing down on him. Then, in a voice so small and broken, he whispered, "Why does everyone always... leave me?"
My heart clenched. It was unlike him-this vulnerability, this raw admission of his pain. Jungkook had always been strong, always composed, never allowing anyone to see past the walls he built around his heart. But now, he was standing before me, laid bare, and I was at a loss for words.
I wanted to say something, anything that could ease the ache in his voice, but the silence between us stretched thin. And then, I felt it-a single tear rolled down his cheek and landed on my shoulder. My chest tightened, and my eyes stung as I realized just how deeply he was hurting.
"Mom... Dad... and now Grandpa..." he muttered, his voice cracking with every name. Each word felt like a knife slicing through the stillness of the room, carving out the truth of his loneliness. His pain was so palpable it made my heart ache in a way I couldn't put into words.
I blinked back my own tears, my throat closing up as I watched him break in front of me. Slowly, I reached out, my hand trembling as I placed it gently on his back, patting him in an attempt to offer some comfort. "I won't," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion. "I would never leave you."
