Note to silent readers: it's not that hard to tap a single star icon at the bottom. It doesn't even take a whole minute but to write an entire chapter it takes almost 4-5 days.
Yeah, you are not commenting it's fine. Other readers are completing that target but vote? It's the least you can do to appreciate someone's hardwork while still being unknown and as non-chalant as you are.

"It's done."
The voice came through clearly from the other end of the call, steady but noticeably hesitant.
"I've delivered Ms. Park's signed divorce documents to Mr. Jeon," Mr. Choi said.
But then, after a pause that lingered too long, he added, this time more cautiously, almost nervously, "I've done what you asked, but... are you absolutely sure Mr. Jeon won't find out this was all staged? That we played both sides?"
A quiet scoff escaped my lips as I leaned back in my chair.
"Already thinking of backing out, are we?" My tone was sharp, cold. Accusatory.
And to that a beat of silence followed. Too long. Too long than necessary, causing me to arch my brow.
"No," he replied finally, "but the way Mr. Jeon was looking at those papers... it was-" his voice faltered, then picked up again, shakier this time, "I fear if he finds out I posed as his attorney to Ms. Park, telling her he was requesting a divorce... and then turned around to claim I was representing her to deliver those same papers to him-he'll destroy me."
He breathed out slowly, a sound of genuine panic clinging to the edges of his voice. "Not just my career... he might actually ruin my life."
And for a second, I didn't respond. Because I knew he was right.
Jungkook wasn't the type to let betrayal slide, especially not something like this.
If he even got a hint of the truth, he'd tear through everything in his path until he reached the source.
And when he did... neither Mr. Choi nor I would be safe from what would come next.
He would go straight to y/n. He'd demand answers. And once that thread began to unravel-my entire plan would collapse.
No... He can't know...I can't afford to let him know anything about this. He can't know that we set this trap behind his back, that it was me who was the cause behind all these misunderstandings between them. I need to keep them away from each other.
"I'll handle it," I said finally, my voice cool and decisive.
"You just keep quiet and stay in line. No slip-ups. No guilt-tripping. No second thoughts."
I leaned forward slightly, my tone dropping into something darker-warning, sharp enough to cut.
"And if you even think about turning against me... if that thought crosses your mind for even a second... then trust me, you'll wish Jungkook had found out instead because I wouldn't just ruin your life. I will end it."
With that, I ended the call.

"Did you... sign the divorce papers?" Ella asked quietly as she lowered herself onto the seat across from me.
Her voice held hesitation like she wasn't sure if she had crossed a line but the look in her eyes told me she'd been dying to ask since the moment we met.
