{Eight Years Before}

"Nee-san... I'm scared," Erza tugged on  your rag-like dress. Erza, your younger sister, had been scared of the things here. You wanted to leave, she wanted to leave, everyone wanted to leave. You being only a year older, hugged Erza close to you and rubbed her hair. Grandpa Rob decided to tell you a story about his old life to lull Erza to sleep. Erza laid against the wall and you slung a protective arm around her. Grandpa Rob started his story about a Guild that treated everyone as family. No one got hurt and no one was left behind. You wanted that for Erza, more than anything. Once the little red head next to you knocked out cold, you let her go and walked to hers and your friends.

"Sho, do you have a plan, yet?" you sat in a circle, everyone around you. Sho nodded quickly and Millia "nya"d happily. Jellal quickly joined the circle, his glance lingering on you before switching to Sho. Simon, a good friend to you, had always had a crush on your little sister. That night was a restless night for you. The plan was set for tomorrow, we'd escape and be free. It was full proof. Though, you stayed up all night, resting against the bars of the cell. A sigh floated from your mouth.

"Can't sleep?" a body slid down the bars, sitting down next to you. Your head leaned back, lying on the bars.

"Yeah. I guess my body is excited to leave, but my mind just wants to sleep," you mumbled, turning to the unknown body. When you caught sight a blue hair, you knew exactly who was sitting next to you. Jellal.

"I know the feeling," Jellal sighed. A smile lit up his face not a second more. "But we'll be free from this place! It'll be great, just you wait," he cheered you up. A smile spread across your lips at his enthusiasm. You leaned your head on his shoulder and he rested his head on top of yours.

"We'll live normally, just like you wish," that was the last thing you heard from him before falling into a deep sleep.

The next morning wasn't something you wanted to wake up from. In the morning, you had escaped from having to work and went to the one place you had been wanting to escape to. Erza was scared and afraid to go in the hole. You smiled at her, grabbing her shoulders, Jellal stood next to you, his arm slung across your shoulder.

"We can do this, just believe in us," you rested your hands on her cheek, bringing her forehead to yours lips and leaving a kiss there. Erza smiled and quickly wrapped her arms around your waist.

"Uhn," she confirmed, nodding her head. Then, as if things could get worse, a bunch of soldiers had shown up. You tried to fend them off, but there was too many. Everyone was sitting on the ground, fear and tears in their eyes. Erza looked so scared, so terrified. She was crouched down next to you, her hands covering her ears.

"Thought you could get away that easily, you brats?! Despite the fact that we need to get the R-System done as soon as possible?!" the fat man questions, a snarl embossed into his features.

"Hold on, now. We can't have anymore construction delays. Normally, we'd send you all to the room, but who came up with the escape plan? I'll take just them. Pretty nice of us, wouldn't you say?" the skinny man laughed.

"Speak up! Whose idea was it?!" the fat man slammed his staff onto the ground. You spoke up, not wanting Sho to take the blame, but you were quickly cut off by a blue haired boy.
