chapter six

Joe has asked me on another date so we are going out for lunch. Excitement fizzes in my stomach like it usually does.

I knock on his door, he opens it and gives me a big hug. I tilt my head up and kiss him on the cheek.
"Afternoon," I smile. Then my lips reach his lips and I kiss him gently, still wrapped in his arms.

"Shall we go?" He grins. I nod.

We leave the house and head to the restaurant.

After we finish our meal we walk along to the park, chatting happily. Joe suddenly stops, his eyebrows are knitted together and he actually looks serious. What is this about?
I look at him and smile fondly. My hand reaches up and cups his cheek. Joe places his hand on top of mine and brings it to his lips. The kiss is soft and gentle. He doesn't let go of my hand.

"Hey Adeline, okay, this may sound odd, but I honestly like you a lot. I see something in you that I haven't seen in anybody else before," He pauses and I smile because he's so beautiful and his hand is so warm on top of mine. And then he says it.
"Adeline, would you be my girlfriend?"

My breath hitches and my smile widens.
"Oh Joe Sugg, you are so adorable - of course I'll be yours."

Then without thinking I kiss him. He kisses me back. My heart is going crazy and I'm sure that I'm blushing, but I don't care. I am so happy.
Joe is my boyfriend.
Joe Sugg is my boyfriend.

I could conquer the world right now.

When I get home, I ring Zoe and fill her in. She squeals with excitement. I'm glad that she's as happy about it as I am.

"Hey, um, Zoe," I say, after we've talked for a while, "I've been wondering, would I be able to visit you and Alfie in Brighton sometime soon? It's just, I've never been and I really want to see you again."

Zoe gasps, "yes! Omg, yes! That's such a good idea, it would be so much fun!"
We make further plans and then eventually say goodbye.

I go into the bathroom and wash my face then change into my pyjamas.
Sighing, and smiling, I slide into my bed. As soon as my head hits the pillow my eyes start to feel heavy, and I can hardly keep them open. So I turn off my light and close my eyes.
One single thought won't stop whirling around my mind. One single thought is filling me up.
One single thought is bringing me a whole fucking lot of happiness.

Joe Sugg is my boyfriend.

Sorry, this chapter is so short, I wanted to focus it on just the boyfriend-girlfriend bit!

So now Joe is Adeline's BOYFRIEND! YAY! Who's happy about that?? Cause I definitely am!
