His seductive emerald eyes were giving her an unbreakable stare and it gave her butterflies in her stomach. But somewhere in that shade of moss and cool pale eyes mirrored her blushing face. They were steadily gazing at each other's eyes.
She leaned in closer against his face. Samuel shut his eyes closed and anticipated her lips to press against his. But the ever conservative Celestine was taking things slow. She rubbed her nose against him and inhaled the minty scent coming from his mouth. Heat rippled through their body, stimulating their sensual desires.
Samuel could feel her breath against his lips. Celestine's hand cupped half of his face and whispered, "I'm sorry, Samuel. I can't do this."
He opened his eyes and found Celestine sprung out of bed. Speechless, Samuel got to his feet and followed Celestine who was speed-walking out the cabin.
----------------------
"Celestine, I'm sorry. C'mon, it's too dark. We should go back," Samuel uttered trying his best to persuade Celestine to go back to the cabin.
Celestine remained tight-lipped. Her arms rested across her chest, while her eyes stayed on the ground. Her feet motioned her towards the dark woods; her senses inactive.
"Celestine, let's go back. It's too dangerous for you out here. C'mon. Let's go," Samuel repeatedly said to her but Celestine never responded. It was like he was talking to a ghost.
Bothered with Celestine's unresponsiveness, he stood in front of her and placed both his hands over her shoulders. He shook her as if waking her from a terrible nightmare. But Celestine remained expressionless. He carried her in his arms and placed her under the tree; Celestine's eyes still concentrated on the ground. He had no idea what was happening to her. He stood up straight and tried to make an emergency call to his friends, but he was not getting any signal. He worriedly looked at Celestine and decided to take a little walk to find a spot to get some signal for his phone.
He found a spot, five meters away from where Celestine was, but he could still see her from where he's at. He reached for his phone and swiped to unlock it. Before he could even press call, someone snatched the phone away from him. He looked up and saw a strong built man with a mask in front of him pulling a knife, aiming at him. Fear was clouding his mind, making his heart beat faster than normal. His eyes flickered back and forth and he could hear everything, from the crashing of the waves to the crunching of the leaves as he stepped back.
"Where's Celestine Sanchez?" He raged at him.
"I don't know! Who are you! What do you want from her?"
"Just tell me where she is! Now or I have to kill you!" The man threatened him.
"No!"
The man's other hand clenched into a tight fist. His eyebrows lowered and his face was contorted in consuming anger. He was furious and outraged that he pointed the knife towards his chest. Samuel was able to steal the knife away from his attacker. He lunged at him blindly and got him by luck. He stabbed him on the leg. With little effort, he dug it in deeper. The gaping hole on the attacker's leg released a huge amount of blood. Samuel thought he won, but the man was well trained that he got to pin him down on the ground. A metal sliced through Samuel's bare skin on his side and the attacker dug it a little deeper. Instantly, he cried out in searing pain as the deep wound spewed a large amount of blood. He instinctively put his hand to the wound, trying desperately to stop it from bleeding. The blood oozed in between his fingers, running down his hands. The man yanked the knife out as he eyed where Celestine was. Tears started to stream down Samuel's face when he realised he had no strength to stand up to save Celestine.
