She exhaled heavily as she closed the door behind her and the arc that her lips formed, broadened. It felt good to finally express what she was feeling.
She spotted a seat just a few steps away from Samuel's room. Toddling her way to the vacant seat, she found Tyler, Annie, John and Bianca stepped out of the lift. They briskly strode towards her with concerned looks.
"How's Samuel, Celestine? We heard about what happened," Bianca asked worriedly.
"Is the operation already finished?" Tyler added.
"What did you do to him! It was all your fault!" Annie accused her frantically, her eyebrows fighting at the bridge of her nose.
She was barged with so many questions, confused of who to answer first. But since Annie was being so judgemental, she got head to head with her.
"Look, can you please shut up! I did not kill him, okay! You're over acting!" She vociferated. Her happiness turned into rage.
"Guys, stop! We're here to check on our friend! We're not here to fight with some stupid things! So, Celestine, where's Samuel?" John said.
"He's over there. Room 104. It says Samuel M on the door," she replied regaining her composure.
" Thanks, Celestine. Let's go guys," John directed.
Celestine followed them; not wanting to be a loner at a very eerie hospital hallway.

Her heart vaulted as Samuel gave her a brief smile as they entered the room. She grinned in return.
Annie seated closely beside Samuel and brushed his hair back and forth with her fingers. She indeed stole the scene with her bitchy move.
Their heads snapped as Mr. Monteras walked inside the room. He was carrying some foods and drinks. He laid her eyes on Samuel after he placed the food on the table.
"Oh, you're awake now, son. I got you some food."
"Yeah, someone woke me up." Samuel quickly glanced at Celestine as he said it before turning to his dad to say thanks.
Mr. Monteras saw Samuel took a fleeting look at Celestine. He turned and eyed her. Celestine swallowed.
"Oh, Celestine. You're already here. I was looking for you downstairs to tell you that Samuel's operation is done. Are you feeling okay?" Mr. Monteras asked with a worried father-look on his face as he paced towards her.
"The receptionist won't tell me what room Samuel was in but then, I saw Dr. Reyes, so I just followed him here. I'm okay, Mr. Monteras."
" Oh, ok. Dad, remember?" he smiled as he hid both his hands in the front pockets of his jeans.
"I'm okay, Dad," she awkwardly said. She smirked as she caught a glimpse of the intense jealous stare from Annie.
"Are you sure you're okay? I know that you haven't fully recovered yet from the accident. Do you want me to call a doctor to check you up?"
"Don't worry... Dad... I'm really okay. Thanks."
Mr. Monteras' phone rang loudly as it could on top of the pile of magazines on the circular glass table at the corner of the room. He quickly reached it and headed out the door to answer the call.
Celestine sat on the comfy leather couch as she watched Samuel's friends tease and talk to him.
"Where's Joseph and Royce?" Samuel asked.
"They're left at the cabin cause we can't fit in one car. I'll pick them up tonight so they can visit you," Tyler answered.
"Oh, okay."
"How are you feeling, Samuel?" Annie asked.
"I'm fine. I'm just feeling a little weak," he replied.
The room fell silent and Tyler's stomach growled noisily. It snatched everyone's attention. They all laughed hysterically.
"What?!" Tyler trying to keep his composure.
"I think we need to eat lunch. I'm already hungry too. We haven't even eaten breakfast yet," John said.
"Good idea," Bianca agreed.
"Samuel, we're going back after lunch, okay?" Tyler said.
"Yup. No worries."
"Are you coming with us, Celestine?" Tyler twisted around and asked Celestine,
"No, Thanks. I think I need a rest," Celestine replied.
"Okay, then."
Once they were out of the room, Samuel ordered Celestine to sit beside him. Celestine obeyed.
Samuel moved to his left, making a room for Celestine to sit. Celestine bent forward and sat on the hospital bed, leaning her back on the headboard.
"What do you want?" Celestine asked, grinning at the thought of him beside her.
"You," he said, lifting his head up to face her.
"Whatever!" Celestine said, concealing her happiness as he said it.
"Can you repeat what you told me awhile ago?" Samuel smirked.
"No!"
"Yes! Please.." he said, acting hurt and showing Celestine the needles on his hand.
"Fine, weirdo! I hate you!"
"That's not what you said, Celestine. C'mon."
"I hate you!"
"Okay, fine. If you don't want to say it again, lie down here next to me."
"That, I can do," she chuckled and slid herself to lie next to him.
Samuel cupped her hand with his as he stare into her eyes. "I love you.."
She instinctively replied, "I love you too," holding Samuel's stare and wrapping her other hand over his.
His expression turned serious and poignant. He pulled his hand softly away from her and twisted around, looking at the ceiling.
"What's the problem, Samuel?" Celestine anxiously asked in a desperate tone.
Samuel looked at her for a brief moment and quickly turned his head away again.
"Samuel, What is it? Tell me," Celestine asked worriedly, cupping his chin to move his head to face her.
"Celestine..."
"Tell me.."
"I'm your husband."
