Chapter 3
She woke up not knowing she fell asleep after that dreamy encounter with the doctor. Yes. With the doctor. She bent over and leaned her back on the wall. Louie scanned the room looking for something to do to stop the boredom. She noticed a folded letter resting on the pile of magazines on the circular table sitting next to her. Another letter, she said to herself. She reached for it, and carefully unfolded it. It was the same paper as the other letter. Was there a possibility that the writer of these two letters was the doctor? She kept on asking herself before she started reading the letter to search for answers.
"Louie, it was great seeing you finally recovered. It was nice meeting you, too. Looks like you've enjoyed our talk, and fell asleep. You look stunningly beautiful when you're asleep, by the way. Uhm.. Yeah.. Maybe in three days, you can explore your home country again. Just please eat your breakfast, okay? It was really nice to SEE YOU. Hope to see you again next time. Doctor John will have to take over. :) and sorry for a very bad first impression. "
The letter was nice and sweet. It was totally different from the first one. She glanced at the paper one last time, but it wasn't the letter that hooked her eyes, it was her hands. The needles were gone. She's free now. But how come? I thought the doctor said I still need to stay here for three days. Being free right now means I got something more to do.
She jumped off her bed as quickly as possible, her heart throbbing so hard as if it will move out her body. She wanted to follow him. The doctor. She wanted to know the truth about the letters; about Rose; about the accident that the sender from the first letter told her about. Her weak body stopped her from walking hastily. But there was no time. She needed to move fast, or else she will never get answers.
She unlocked the Spence door and tried to run to the hallway. There were no signs of him.
