Seven

It was about 6 pm when I got home, and Juliana grabbed her stuff and went home. Our caretaker, Mindy, made my grandma some soup for dinner. I personally don't like soup so I grabbed some bread and toasted it. I put cream cheese on each slice and placed a piece of lunch meat ham on one so I had a sandwhich. I grabbed some potato chips and went up to my room to chill out on my phone. I was looking on Instagram and liking pictures, checked snapchat and looked at all of my friends stories of us at the beach. They got some really great shots, and I smiled lightly to myself watching them. I was looking on Twitter when I got to Grayson's tweet

'Fuck I ruin everything :('

I felt horrible. He was a huge jerk...but I can't stand to see him upset. Just when I was about to text him to ask if he wanted to meet up and talk, Aaron texted me.

Aaron: Hey bub! Do you wanna hang out with jack and I?
Me: sure! Where are you guys?
Aaron: pautlers. Just grabbing a bite to eat and I'm not sure what we will do after
Me: okay. Be there in 15

Pautlers was a little old fashioned restaurant that was right up the beach. I just went in the outfit I was in, even with the bathingsuit and used my penny board to get there. I texted Aaron to meet me outside, and not soon after he was at the door with jack. I didn't know jack that well at all because he was new this year, but he's adorable and he seemed like a great guy so I figured why not.

We ordered some wings and fries and talked with each other. We laughed a lot and took lots of snapchats. After dinner we were trying to figure out what to do.

"Would anyone wanna go back to the beach?" Jack asked.
"I wouldn't mind" I said, and Aaron agreed.

We walked along the water and played would you rather.

"Brittany," jack said
"Oh god" I replied
"Would you rather date Juliana or Aaron"
"Juliana"
"What!?" Aaron said offended (fakely) we were all laughing when I heard a really familiar voice
"AARON, JACK!!!" It was Ethan, who was standing next to a lifeguard chair. It was empty, but I knew who's it was. Grayson's.

I totally had forgotten to talk to Grayson...I hoped he was okay.

"Bri? What are you doing here?" Ethan asked
"I can't hang with them?"
"No I was just..never mind" he said
"Where's gray?" Aaron asked
"He's out there" he pointed out in the distance of the water. Grayson was riding a jet ski.
"Dude that's sick!" Jack said
"Come on!" Ethan motioned to the water. I didn't really feel like going in, so I stood right where we were.
"Bri you coming?" Jack asked
"Nah I'm not feeling it" he mad a sad face. He walked over to me and put his hands on my cheeks. We just stared into each other's eyes...I was in shock. Why was he doing this? Then he smirked. I was really confused for a split second, until he swooped me off the ground and carried me in the water
"JACK PUT ME DOWN!!!" I yelled while I laughed and kicked at the same time. The guys were laughing so hard once he threw me in. Once I came out from under the ice cold water, I glared at him.
"Oh shit she's mad" Aaron said
"RUN!" Ethan said

They all giggled adorably while I ran after them. I was laughing too, until I noticed Grayson was heading back towards us. I stopped chasing them

"Okay forget it guys" I said, still chuckling, but I walked back towards the shore. I heard all the guys in the background talking to Grayson

"Dude that's sick"
"You're gunna get the ladies"

They faintly went away as I walked further up the beach to find a towel. There was one hanging up on the lifeguard chair, and I much as I didn't want to use it I wanted to get dry. I was drying myeself off when I heard Grayson

"You know that's my towel right?" I turned around and there he was, shirtless and smirking. The way he stood was really attractive and I tried my hardest not to stare.

"Yeah well I need to dry off" I said awkwardly, I didn't really know where we stood
"Yeah I can tell" he chuckled. I just gave him a smile. It was silent for a bit
"So you're pretty good at surfing"
"Thanks, I've had a bit of practice"
"Maybe you could teach me" he was still half smirking. I stared at him for a moment, then looked at the jet ski.
"Only if you take me on that" I told him. He looked back
"The jet ski?"
"Yeah!"
"Why do you wanna go on that?"
"It looks like a lot of fun! And the guys aren't there anymore so I can escape them"
"Oh yeah, where'd they go?"
"I think I saw them run that way but I'm not sure" and I pointed to the right. Grayson shrugged his shoulders
"You sure you wanna get all wet again?"
"My clothes are still soked I'll be okay" I chuckled. Then we headed over to the jet ski
"Okay, you can get on first and I'll drive behind you." He suggested
"Ugh that would be so cool to video tape! I wish I had my phone" I said. I dropped it in the sand when Jack picked me up, but when I came back it was still okay so I put it on the lifeguard chair.
"Here, use mine and I'll send it to you" he handed me his phone that was in a water proof case. I smiled and jumped on the jet ski. He came on behind me and put his cold body against my back. He had a life jacket on but I could still feel his wet chest on me. Then he put one arm on each handle, basically closing me in. In this moment I wanted him to wrap his arms around me. They were big and strong, and just were meant to be holding someone.

My thoughts were interrupted when he started the gas. I got really nervous, I feel like he'll pull something on me.
"You ready?" He yelled over the gas
"I guess" I said laughing
He pressed the gas and we flew across the water, going over the waves that struck us. I was laughing so uncontrollably, I heard him giggle behind me.
"Here watch this"
He swerved us over so fast we almost fell over, then he pressed so hard on the gas we were way up in the air hitting each wave.
"GRAYSON STOP IM SCARED OH MY GOSH" I was laughing but I was so serious. He just laughed some more at me and kept going
"NO I DONT WANT TO DIE I DONT WANT TO DIE"

We hit a part in the water where there were no more waves. He spun around so fast that we tipped the jet ski over, and we both plunged into the water. Once I came up from under water, I yelled
"UGH GRAYSON"
"What?? You were laughing having a good time?" He seemed genuinely confused. I started coughing, it became reall hard for me to breathe
"Oh shit" he said. He put the jet ski back to normal and paddled toward me. He placed his hands on my hips, and hoisted me up onto the jet ski. I finished my cough attack and just tried to catch my breath.
"Are you okay?" He asked
"Yeah just swallowed a lot of water" I lied
"I'm so sorry I thought you were having fun!" Grayson sounded upset, and I felt bad for yelling at him. I was laughing so I understood why he thought I was joking
"It's fine gray, I was laughing. How were you supposed to know?" I looked up at him, to catch him grinning at me
"What's that huge smile for?" Now I was also smiling waiting for the response
"You called me gray" he said sweetly. I sat still for a moment, then I playfully rolled my eyes
"Just take me back" I said smirking so I guess you could say I dropped a hint to him that I like him.

The ride back was soothing, Grayson was gentil which I appreciated. Once we got back, we saw the guys waiting for us by the chair.
"I wanted to go on!!"
"Gray take us on"
"Why her first!? I'm your brother!!" They all whined. I just giggled
"Guys I'll take you out tomorrow, my shifts way over now and I have to get it back to the dock" he explained
"Ugh whatever. Brianna you suck" Ethan said jokingly, I just stuck my tongue out at him teasing.
"Let's all go take a walk down the beach!" Jack said. The guys all agreed
"You guys go, I think I'm going to head home" I said, with my thumb pointing towards the road
"Awe why?" Jack said.
"I need to get out of these wet clothes" I snickered
"You want me to walk you home?" Gray asked. It was very sweet but I didn't want him to leave the guys again
"No I'm okay, I'm using my penny board anyway" I picked it up and simpered at them.
"Okay, be careful" gray said
"I will"
"Bye Bri!" Aaron said
"See ya brat" Ethan said
"Bye jerk" I smirked at him
Jack just waved shyly at me, and I waved back. They headed their way and I went back up to the road to head home.

My 15 minute ride home was relaxing, I was kind of just in a daze. Not thinking of anything. But I got home and changed into a tee shirt and some yoga shorts, it felt so nice to be in dry clothes again. I went downstairs and saw that my sister was home, so I suggested a movie night with my grandma.

We made some snacks, my grandma had chips and I made myself a bowl of ice cream while Emily made s'mores in the microwave. Narnia was one of my grandmas favorite movies so we watched that, along with our caretaker. I just smiled to myself during the movie. Tonight was actually really fun, and I'm happy I'm talking to Grayson again.
