Nineteen

The next morning I was super drowsy. I slept fine, but when I woke up I was just drained. It hurt to open my eyes and I could barely move. I felt helpless. Of course when I saw Emily's face pop in my door, I couldn't help but smile
"Hey" I squeaked out
"Brianna" she just said with tears already on her cheeks.
"Aw em don't cry"
"You look worse than before" I chuckled a bit
"Thanks"
"No seriously, what am I going to do without you" she winced

I decided to finally be serious so I patted the empty space left on the hospital bed. She moped over and sat down in that spot. I looked dead straight into her eyes
"I don't know how much it will hurt you when I'm gone. But I don't want you to mope around okay? Do you know what I want you to do?" I only asked her because she knows me and she knows what I would want her to do
"Live my life" Emily sniffed
"Exactly. It's okay to be sad, don't get me wrong but don't let it eat you up. Be the happy Emily that I love and don't let this situation get the best of you. You're so strong for getting through this." I told her
"What if I don't get through it?"
"You will. I'll be right by your side to help you." I reassured her and we hugged tightly.
"Hey mind if we interrupt?" I heard an Ethan. I giggled and nodded, and opened my arms for their hugs
"Hi baby" Grayson whispered in my ear as his huge arms wrapped around my shoulders.

After everyone was done hugging me, gray and Emily sat at the edge of my bed as Juliana and Ethan stayed standing.
"So how are you feeling?" Juliana asked.
"Uhm, okay" I lied. I felt like complete shit
"Are you sure?" Ethan questioned. I blankly stared at him for a bit, then nodded undecidedly
"Well...we all kind of wanted to have a little one on one with you.." She said awkwardly.
"Okay!" I tried to sound enthusiastic but it didn't exactly work

Ethan was the first one to stay. He came over and held my hand
"So Grayson told me what's going to happen to you soon" he said looking at the floor
"Yeah.." I wasn't exactly sure what to say
"I'm sorry this happened to you, you really don't deserve it" his voice squeaked and he squeezed my hand
"Eth-"
"No bri hold on. You're dating gray, and he loves you to death. I'm happy I spilled my lunch on you the first day of school, or I feel like we wouldn't be here. You wouldn't have gotten so angry at Grayson and none of this would've happened. I hate that you have cancer. I hate that you'll have to leave. I'll miss you so fucking much, and believe me, I love you"

I was in utter shock. My eyes were wide but filled with salty tears, and my breath was shaky. Ethan was already bawling by now.
"I love you so much" I whispered, breaking down. We wrapped our arms around each other and my face was buried in his shoulder.
"...Hey..can i come in?" Juliana
"No" I joked. She giggled
"I'm gunna miss that" those words came out depressingly
"I'll leave you two to it" Ethan got up and wiped his wet cheek
"Aw you cried?" Juliana asked
"No" he tried to be cool but obviously failed, so we chuckled.

"What will I ever do without my best friend.." She sighed
"Juliana don't even"
"What??"
"Mope. You know I don't want you to" I told her
"I thought you said it's okay to be sad?"
"I did, and it is, I just don't want it to ruin your life, okay?"
"I love you."
"I love you more."
"No"
"Yes."
"Ugh" she giggled, and with that a tear ran down her face. We talked and laughed about how cheesy we were being over the whole situation
"It's grays turn, I'll go get him" she explained as she gave me one last hug.

Grayson walked into the room and just plopped on the edge of my bed. He didn't say a word, just looked at the floor.
"Are we gunna talk?" I finally broke the silence
"I don't know where to start" I was confused
"What do you mean?"
"I have so much to say to you, and I guess I'll start with I love you."
"I know you do. I love you too." I gazed into his hazel eyes and melted
"I don't ever want to look at another girl after you, I wanted to spend my life with you."
"Grayson.."
"No. I'm not doing it. I won't mope but I will NOT date anyone else. I don't want them."
I stayed silent. He took my breath away. The way he tensed up, ran his fingers through his hair, and had so much passion for me. I loved it and I was in love with him.

My thoughts were interrupted when he ran up and smashed his plush lips on mine, giving me a bunch of butterflies.
"Sorry for interrupting..but we have school gray" Ethan said walking in on us.
"I won't ever forget about you" he whispered, glaring in my eyes. I nodded my head, and squeaked out "I love you"

And with that, they all left, and I fell asleep. All my thoughts drifted off, and everything went black.

Uhm okay so it's been a week since I last updated and I'm so sorry for that!! Last chapter is going up this weekend then I start my new books!

And yes, Brianna is now dead.
