Blake's pov

"So why do you dye your hair green?" I asked as we got out of the car and began walking into the mall. Calum insisted on driving since I didn't know where we were going, so in the end he drove and I sat in the passenger seat with Michael in the back.

"It's not always green" he replied. "Sometimes it's red, or blue. It's just fun" he shrugged playfully and I laughed.

"What about pink?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Only in October" he replied simply.

"For breast cancer?" Calum stated at the same time that I asked, making us both smile.

"I dip dyed the ends of mine once for breast cancer" I shook my head at the memories. "It was horrible" I laughed.

"Our friend does that" Michael said looking towards Calum as if he just remembered it.

"Ari??" Calum asked excitedly and Michael nodded with a smile.

"Ariella is dating Liam Payne" he said and I gave him a blank stare. "From One Direction" he said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. My mouth formed into an 'o'shape and I nodded- I had heard of them plenty of times. Liam and Ariella were basically world famous because of the gunshot incident they had in some warehouse out in California.

"And your friends with One Direction?" I sarcastically asked with a laugh, but both boys nodded seriously. I raised an eyebrow in their direction and waited for an explanation.

"We're going on tour with them soon" Michael told me and I couldn't help the small laugh that fell from my lips. Even though I was confused, I didn't know how to respond to this statement.

"We're in a band" Calum added and I scrunched my eyebrows together.

"Are you any good?" I asked, still not sure if they were telling the truth or not.

"Nah we suck" Michael laughed and looked at Calum. "I'll play you one of our tracks when we sit for lunch" he promised and opened the door, allowing me to enter first.

"You're seriously going on tour with One Direction??" I questioned, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Yup" Calum responded and pointed towards the flight of stairs we had to walk up.

"Well how many are in your band?" I asked, now genuinely curious.

"Four" Michael said. "Me, Calum, Ashton and Luke. We'll introduce you to the other two sometime" he assured me.

"What do you guys play?" I asked, walking between the two with Calum on my right and Michael on my left.

"I play bass, Michael and Luke play guitar and Ashton is our drummer" Calum informed me. "And we all sing" he added.

"Except Ashton" Michael laughed as Calum nodded in agreement. Ashton must not have liked it, or been good at it, if they were laughing.

"It's mostly Luke that sings" Calum admitted, scratching the back of his neck. "But we both have a lot of solos" he told me, motioning between him and Michael.

"That's so cool" I admitted, highly impressed with their success.

"Do you play anything?" Michael asked, changing the subject to me.

"I play a little guitar" I replied, "but I'm not band worthy" I added and they both chuckled.

"Acoustic or electric?" Michael asked the important question, staring at me intently.

"Acoustic, but I've played electric a few times" I admitted. "What kind of music do you guys play?" I asked curiously. Judging by Michael's hair and the torn shorts that they both wore, I had a pretty good guess that they were more along the lines of punk, but not heavy metal.
