Calum's pov
"What took you so long?" Michael yelled from the couch once I opened the front door.
"I was with my girlfriend" I told him as seriously as I could, trying to mess with his head.
"You don't have a girlfriend" he told me frankly as he continued to play his video game.
"She's right outside actually" Doing my best not to smile, I pointed to the door through which I just entered. He gave me a questioning glance and then bolted towards the door.
"Dude" he gasped slapping my arm. "Seriously?" He shouted and I shook my head laughing.
"Nah, that's your neighbor" I said and walked to his couch to lay down.
"My neighbor?" I nodded my head and turned off his video game, switching to TV mode.
"Her name is Blake" I told him as I scrolled through channels trying to find something interesting. "She moved here last month" I added.
"Where is she from?" He asked curiously.
"New York" I replied, now only half listening to him since I was so tuned into the TV.
"Bet her accent is awesome" he smiled, sitting down on the opposite side of the couch from me.
"Yeah it's cute" I laughed. Just then, Michael's mom walked into the room. "Hi Mrs.Clifford" I greeted with a smile.
"Hello Calum" she said sweetly. "Michael, I think we have a new neighbor" she exclaimed.
"Yeah that's Blake" I said cheerily.
"You know her?" Karen asked raising an eyebrow.
"I met her on my way here" I explained. "She's really nice" I added.
"She's so cute" Karen cooed. "Michael you should invite her over for dinner" his mother instructed.
"Mom" he groaned. "I haven't even met her yet, we don't want to scare her away" he tried to persuade his mother.
"Darling, she doesn't even know you exist" Karen explained. "When you took that package off of her front door you didn't even ring the bell!" She scoffed. "You just left a note" she said, rolling her eyes.
"Ashton and I rang the bell but she didn't answer" he exasperated. "She probably wasn't home or" he paused and then waved his hand carelessly in the air, "I don't know"
"Michael, she's new and I'm sure she doesn't know many people here" she told her son, while I sat back, enjoying the discussion.
"Yeah she just moved here from New York about a month ago" I informed Karen. Michael jabbed me in the side, which was his way of telling me to shut up.
"Mom at least let me get to know her first, and then we can have her over" He pleaded his case.
"Fine, but I won't let this go" she said snapping her fingers and exiting the room. After she was out of sight, Michael rolled his eyes and leaned back into the couch.
"Can we order a pizza?" I asked, realizing I was beyond hungry.
"Already on it" Michael mumbled, holding the phone to his ear, signaling he had ready dialed.
Forty minutes later, we had finished a box and a half of pepperoni pizza and a liter of soda.
"I can't move" I groaned and pulled my phone out to see Luke had texted me.
We're out of foooodddd
I could almost hear the whine in his voice as he sent this. My eyes darted to the second box of half eaten pizza.
