Luke's pov
"There's my baby boy" my mom cooed when I walked through the door to her house. I let out a breathless smile when she threw her arms around me and kissed my cheek. "Ben went out," she said, referring to my oldest brother. "But Jack and Celeste are in here" She told me, leading me into the kitchen.
Upon entering, I saw my brother Jack and his wife Celeste with their baby girl, Zoe. I slapped my brother's fist and greeted his wife with a kiss, before stealing the baby from her arms. "What brings you here, darling?" Mom asked, pouring a cup of tea for herself.
"Well," I began, "siting at the counter with Zoe in my lap. "Good news," I looked up at their worried expressions and a smile began to grow on my face. "We're going on tour"
My mom gasped, "Honey, that's wonderful!" Tears welled in her eyes as she kissed my cheek and squeezed my side.
"But this time," I cut her off and held a finger up, "we're not opening for One Direction" I stated, scanning the room. "We have a solo headline" I said excitedly and bounced the small girl on my lap.
"Oh my god!" Celeste gaped in astonishment. "That's outstanding!" She added happily.
"That is," my brother agreed, "when do you leave?"
"In six months" I answered. "And won't be back for about six more." When these words left my mouth, I thought my mother was going to have a heart attack.
"Six months?" She gasped, horrified. I slowly nodded my head and watched as Jack rubbed her back soothingly. "What am I going to do without you here?" She asked sadly. I turned to Jack and Celeste for support, not sure how to answer this question.
"We only live a few minutes away," Celeste began, "so you can come visit whenever you want" she offered, taking the pressure off of me.
"Yeah and we can never get out because of this little one" Jack said, tickling his daughter's stomach, "so we'd be more than willing to drop her off a few times a week to watch her" he suggested. "You can even keep her if you want-" he was interrupted by Celeste playfully hitting his arm.
Mum released a small laugh followed by a single sniffle. "You okay?" I asked, not wanting to see my mom hurt. I understand the why she's upset, but I would visit home and she could fly out whenever.
"Yes dear," she smiled, "I'm just going to miss you" she admitted, resting her head on mine. I loosely hung an arm around her waist and eyed Jack who was making faces at me.
Ever since I was a kid, I'd always been what people refer to as a 'Mama's Boy'. My brothers always teased me about it because my mom would tend to coddle me more so then them. So ever since the band formed, my mom gets more and more upset each time I have to leave. On top of that, I was her youngest of three boys, so she was a little more protective, if you will.
"I know," I said, stifling a laugh at my idiot brother, "but I'll be back soon" I told her, standing from my seat. I pulled my phone out to see a text from Calum, telling me he was on his way to pick me up. He needed to run out this morning so he dropped me off here on his way to run errands. Now we were off to our meeting with Simon.
"I have to go soon," I began, handing Zoe back to her mom. "The boys and I have a meeting with Simon" I furthered.
"To discuss the tour I presume?" My mom asked, making me simply nod my head.
"Where are you guys going?" Celeste asked, taking a seat at the kitchen table to feed her daughter.
"We'll start here, and then go to the U.K. and finish off in America" I told her briefly.
