Blake's pov

"We need to stop doing this" his thick Australian accent sounded from underneath me. Flicking my eyes up, I locked paths with his. My heart was beating in sync with his, which I could feel pulsating beneath me. The air was stiff and everything seemed to go quiet. I blinked once to clear my head and came back to reality. Realizing I was still laying on top of him, I blushed and rolled off of him into the sand.

"Sorry" I mumbled, slightly embarrassed that I hadn't done that more quickly. As I began standing to my feet, he jumped up and outstretched his hand to me. Hesitantly, I looked up at him and then accepted his offer. "Thanks" I said quietly.

"You know," he started up again. "You knocked into me this time, so I guess we're tied" he smirked.

"No," I said, "Calum tripped me" I emphasized and shoved Calum's shoulder, "so it's his fault"

"I didn't trip you" Calum scoffed. "You're just weak" he taunted and shoved his SnapBack onto my head, shoving it over my eyes.

"Well now you just lost your hat" I shrugged, taking my bun out and turning the hat backwards.

He shrugged, not bothered by it. "Looks better on you anyway" he winked.

"Do you two ever stop flirting?" Luke scoffed. He picked the ball up and juggled it on his foot, waiting for the game to continue. He couldn't possibly think Calum and I were flirting. Nothing personal, but I would never get with Cal. I like him better as a best friend, not a boyfriend.

"Flirting?" I scoffed. "He wishes" I remarked cockily and flipped my hair over my shoulder. He rolled his eyes and nodded towards Luke.

"You jealous Hemmo?" He asked with a smirk.

"Yeah right" Luke remarked sarcastically. He folded his arms over his chest and sucked in his teeth as if the idea was absurd. I raised an eyebrow and rolled my eyes at him. Turning around, I saw Michael and Ashton had run into the ocean, avoiding the conversation taking place. Smart move I thought with a chuckle.

"Well I guess we win" I mumbled to myself and walked over to my towel. After dusting the sand off it, I laid down on my stomach and flipped my hair back into a bun, chucking Calum's hat next to my bag.

"What time is it?" Calum asked, laying down next to me on his own towel. I shrugged, not being able to find my phone at the moment.

"It's five" Luke's voice sounded quietly from the other side of Calum. At the mention of this, Calum shot up from his seat.

"You know what that means" he smirked with a devilish glance towards Luke, who looked at him without a clue. "It's happy hour" he cheered and began walking in the direction of the car to retrieve what I'm guessing we're the bottles of vodka that were in the back seat.

"Sweet" I whispered quietly to myself and smiled contently. It was awkward times like these when drinks become useful. Certainly, I was no alcoholic, but I've had my fair share of drinks before.

As I laid back down, I couldn't help but glance over at Luke, who was standing with his back to me. It pained me to admit that he was decent looking- long lean legs with a ripped torso and pretty solid arms too. Sure he was a little lanky, nothing compared to Calum's build, but still attractive.

"Take a picture" his voice interrupted my thoughts, "it'll last longer" he remarked with a grin that made my stomach twist with butterflies. I made sure I scoffed loud enough for him to hear as I dramatically rolled my eyes under my sunglasses.
