Blake's pov

"Are you sure it isn't too soon?" I asked, hoping he'd change his mind. Luke and I had been together for over a month now, officially, and he was taking me to his mum's house to meet his family. To say I was nervous was quite an understatement.

"Babe it's been two months" he chuckled. "I think it's almost too late" he teased, which wasn't helping soothe me. I've had boyfriends in the past, but none of them had ever really introduced me to their parents formally. Usually I'd run into the at a football game or some sort of casual encounter like that.

"I think I'm gonna throw up" I mumbled, putting one hand on my forehead and the other on my hip. It's not that I didn't want to meet his family, because I did, I was just nervous about the things we'd talk about. "Luke I don't even have a job, I didn't finish college-"

"I didn't finish college either" he interjected in an attempt to brighten my mood on the matter.

"Yeah but you became a world famous rockstar and I didn't" I reminded him. "Oh my god Luke you mother is going to hate me" I emphasized strongly, not even realizing what a complete disaster my life appeared to be on the outside- I was a college dropout who failed to make it in the real world so I packed up and moved to a new city with absolutely no life plan whatsoever.

"That's not true" Luke said between breaths of laughter. Guess I said that out loud, I said to myself. "Any stop worrying about it" he instructed. "My parents aren't vicious or anything, they can take a hint" he shrugged. "Trust me"

On top of being a failure, I was nearly positive that they'd ask me about my family... but what would I say? Never had I ever told anybody the full truth about my past. The only person who knew everything was my friend Matt, but I considered him more of a brother. Luke knew things with my family were rough but I haven't gotten into any specifics. I liked Luke, a lot, but just because he's my boyfriend now doesn't mean I have to tell him anything, which he respects.

"Relax" he breathed, walking over to me and snaking his hands around the small of my back.
"What is it that you're worried about exactly?" He asked, licking his lips and pulling his lip ring in between his teeth momentarily.

My eyes darted up and locked with his crystal blue ones for a moment, before I torn my gaze away. "I don't know" I mumbled, not entirely sure of how to answer. He readjusted his hands and tightened his grip slightly, which made my eyes divert back to his. He cocked an eyebrow and I mentally sighed.

"They're probably going to ask me about my family and why I came her and stuff like that" I began, "and I have no idea what I'm going to say" I confessed quietly.

"Just tell them what you tell everyone else" he said simply. "Nobody said you had to go into detail." I thought for a moment about what I told Luke and the boys- my parents divorced when I was young and I didn't speak with my father. My mother and I didn't get along too well because she was always stressed with work as well as raising three kids. Nice and simple.

I nodded my head, seeming to be spacing out a little. I could feel Luke sigh lightly before speaking. "Hey don't worry" he told me. "Like I said, they can take a hint. And besides, I'll be there the whole time" he said, running a hand up and down my back, which sent chills up my spine.

"Ok I'm ready" I replied, snapping back to reality. "Let's go" I added, taking a deep breath.
