Luke's pov

"How about I invite her over tonight?" Calum asked. "That way you're in a more comfortable environment and we can just chill out" he shrugged as he pulled into the driveway.

"You just want to invite her so you can see her in a bikini" I accused him with a laugh as I unbuckled my seatbelt.

"That my friend," he chuckled, "is just a bonus" he concluded and hit my shoulder. "No but I'm serious," he started up again once we both exited the car. "She's like my best friend," he paused, "next to you of course," he laughed, "and I would never pull anything with her," he assured me. "'Specially if you're this into her" he confessed.

"Thanks man" I smiled and pounds his fist. As soon as I walked inside, I collapsed on the couch from exhaustion. It had only been a few hours since the meeting, but the boys and I had gone to lunch and for some reason that took a lot out of me.

"Dude you know what would work wonders on her?" Calum asked, tossing me a soda. I sat up and opened the lid of the drink. "Have Jack drop baby Zoe off" he suggested. "Girls go crazy when they see guys with little kids" he said expertly and reclined in the lounge chair.

"I don't know," I hesitated. "Blake doesn't seem like the type to love kids" I told him, waiting to see what his reaction would be.

"Why not?" He asked, not waiting for my answer. "She basically raised her siblings so I'm sure she loves kids." He took a sip of his drink and looked at me for my response.

"What do you mean she raised her siblings?" I asked curiously. My back rested against the couch and I propped my feet up on the coffee table.

"Her parents divorced when she was young and her mom was always working or something" he shrugged, finishing off his drink. "Michael briefly told me but he didn't seem keen on all the facts" he explained and attempted to shoot his empty can into the trash bin. Of course, he missed and it bounced across the wood floor.

"Oh," was all I managed to say. I began pondering over what he said in my head. From the beginning, I knew that Blake wasn't always the tough girl she acted as. There was more to her story that I was interested to find out, but first I'd have to work up the courage to have a decent conversation with her.

"So what do you say?" He asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I'll text Jack" I mumbled and pulled out my phone to send him a quick message.

"And I'll call Blake" he told me, standing up and going into the other room. Within seconds of sending the text to Jack, he answered, saying he'd be more than happy to get her out of his hands for a few hours.

The whole baby thing seemed a little cliché and I began regretting it instantly. This now meant I'd have to pay attention to Zoe, especially by the pool, which meant less time with Blake.

"Calum this is a horrible idea" I called out, pondering this whole situation over. He poked his head out from the kitchen and put his finger to his lips, motioning that he was on the phone. Rolling my eyes, I sat back and scrolled through Twitter until Calum finally came back out.

"She'll be here in three hours" he spoke, chucking his phone on the couch next to me. "When is he dropping Zoe?"

"I told him we'd pick her up on our way back from the studio" I said, standing from the couch and grabbing my keys.

"We're going to the studio?" He asked, obediently putting his sunglasses on and following me out the door.

"What else is there to do in three hours?" I chuckled and started the ignition to my car. "Michael mentioned this morning that he may go too" he shrugged, "so why not?"
