i feel like i should clarify ages?

ashton just turned twenty, luke will turn eighteen soon, michael's eighteen, calum's eighteen, and kaeleigh's eighteen.

calum-

i woke up with a pounding headache, and light flooded through the room, making me groan. i sat up, and realized at once that the bed i was in wasn't mine.

i began to panic, but then someone entered the room, and i calmed. kaeleigh smiled softly as she sat at the foot of her bed. "afternoon. i brought you here last night after i dropped the boys off, because my parents left for california yesterday, and your mum would kill you if you walked in that drunk."

"thank you," i said quietly, "what happened last night?"

her eyes widened, and she frowned. "nothing. you guys just acted stupid, and got drunk. that's it. nothing else. i brought you here and you passed out."

"oh," i nodded, "thank you." i said again.

"no big deal." she shrugged. "hungry?"

"starving."

we made our way downstairs, and she poured me a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice. i thanked her, again, and she shrugged it off, again.

"so you really don't remember what happened last night?" kaeleigh asked, taking the seat across from me.

"i briefly remember kissing someone, but that's it," i answered, "why, did something happen?"

"nothing important." she forced a smile.

"okay, we need to talk about why you've been ignoring me."

"i'm sorry," kaeleigh sighed, fiddling with the yarn bracelet on her right wrist. it matched the one on my left arm. "i had to figure some stuff out. i shouldn't have taken it out on you, i'm sorry."

"it's okay," i assured, sending her a smile. "it is now."

she grinned, a real grin. "how bad does your head hurt?"

"like hèll," i admitted, "but my mouth doesn't have an awful taste like usual when i'm hungover."

"i brushed your teeth just before you fell asleep," she nodded, "because i figured the alcohol wouldn't taste as good in the morning."

"see, this is why you're my best friend," i laughed, "purely for this reason. you take care of me when i'm drunk."

kaeleigh scoffed. "you're like a child. i take care of you all the time."

i smiled fondly. "i know."

after i finished my cereal, i told kae goodbye, thanked her one last time, and headed over to my house to shower. i caught a glimpse of her smile turning to a frown as she closed the door.

wait.

her lips.

i kissed someone last night.

kaeleigh's lips.

i kissed kaeleigh's lips.

i was halfway across the street when i realized this, and halted in the middle of the road. it probably wasn't safe, but i stood there as i recalled the events from last night.

"who?" i asked sarcastically, "willow bryan? i'm always with you, i'd drop anything for you, i care about you, i love you."

she began to back away from me, still shaking her head, as if denying every word i spoke. "you're gonna wake up and not remember this."
