A/N: First, I want to apologize that it's taken me so long to get this put out. I was back and forth to the hospital visiting my aunt, who was basically my second mother. Sadly, her hospital stay didn't turn out the way we had all hoped and she passed a little less than two weeks ago.

This one shot is a reader request based around the lyrics of the song "Seven" by Natalie Jane. I hope I've done the request justice and that you enjoy! As always, thank you so much for reading, liking, and commenting! Y'all's comments are hilarious and have definitely helped get me through the last month. XO, babes. :)

Your boots sounded hollow on the pavement as you stomped towards your best friend's apartment. Your hands were shoved into the pockets of your jacket and your mouth was set in a hard line. The little weasel you called a boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend, had just inadvertently admitted to wanting to fuck his best friend. In the heat of the moment, you told him to go right ahead because your best friend would be more than willing to take his place in your bed.

It was a joke of course, you weren't actually planning on sleeping with your bestie, but it pissed your ex off and that was all that mattered. You'd spent most of your relationship having to defend your friendship to your ex. He always thought there was more between the two of you than just friendship. It had become a weekly ordeal where the phrase 'you don't have to worry about him, we're just friends' fell from your mouth.

You marched up the stairs of the apartment building and stopped in front of your friend's door. Your knuckles pounded on the wood and then you waited. To be honest, you weren't quite sure why you went straight to his apartment instead of going home or drowning your anger at the closest bar, but your feet carried you there on instinct. You knocked again, harder this time, and you got a frustrated growl in response.

"What?" The door swung open and the angry face of Bucky Barnes peered out at you.

You scowled and pushed past him as you walked into his apartment, going straight to his couch and falling down onto it.

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" His tone softened and he shut the door behind you.

"I broke up with the twat waffle." You said.

Bucky walked over and sat down next to you with a sigh.

"What happened?"

"Ryder wants to fuck Tiffany, his best friend." You grumbled.

Bucky's head turned quickly to look at you and his lips parted in shock.

"Yeah, my exact reaction. Get this, I found out because we were watching a movie where the guy was in love with his best friend even though he's in a relationship. I heard him mumble about how he could relate. It turned into this whole argument and I broke up with his ass."

"What did you say to him when he said it?" Bucky turned his body towards you.

"It was just a whole bunch of yelling while I tried to get him to admit it at first. Once he did, I may or may not have told him to have at her because you wouldn't mind taking his place," you grimaced as you looked at Bucky, "But don't worry, I didn't come over here to try and seduce you. I was just trying to piss him off."

Bucky didn't flinch as you spoke. You expected shock or annoyance. Hell, maybe even uncontrollable laughter that you'd dragged him into your bullshit. He didn't like drama and hated your boyfriend even more, but his gaze remained steady on you. It was unnerving how calm he seemed after what you'd just told him.

"Why aren't you shocked or appalled?"

"Because it wasn't a lie." Bucky said, his tone cool and even as he lifted and dropped one shoulder.
