Magnus paced impatiently around his loft. There had been a emergency Clave meeting, and Alec had to go. So far, he had not received no word from him; an hour and a half since he left. Magnus had to sit down since his feet were starting to hurt from all the walking. Chairman Meow sat next to him and tried to cuddle with him, but Magnus sighed and patted his head gently. Another hour passed, and still no word from Alec. Magnus grew more and more worried with every passing second. He paced so much he was convinced that he had blisters on his feet. He had just sat down when Alec opened the door, cheeks red and tears streaming his face. Magnus got up and wrapped his arms around him tightly. The warlock lead his boyfriend onto the couch and wrapped him in a blanket to hopefully help relax him. Alec wiped his eyes and took a deep breath again, but it quickly turned into another round of sobs. Magnus pulled him close and rubbed his back gently, doing what he could to comfort him. After Alec had calmed down enough, he took a breath and looked at his boyfriend with his red and puffy eyes. "Alec darling, what happened?" Alec looked at him and sniffled,
"There's been...threats and a lot of attacks lately by some people. I'm not sure, but it sounds like some sort of rebel cult...they've been attacking and threating us and the Clave is requiring us to form our own army and put a stop to it." He paused, taking a big breath and letting it out slowly. " And...they want me to risk my life and go with them.." he sniffled and looked up. Magnus was speechless. He always hated it when Alec went on hunts; he was always worried sick about him. Now the Clave wants him to risk his life? That is something Magnus didn't want to happen. He hugged Alec tight as his throat closed up and tears threatened to spill out of his eyes. He looked at Alec and stroked his cheek. "But...can't they send someone else? Why do you have to go?" his voice cracked and he stared to cry. Alec shrugged. "I don't know...sometimes I think they do stuff like this to show my parents they still call the shots even after the uprising..." he sighed and buried his face in his hands. Magnus sighed sadly and rubbed his back gently. "They can't just take you like that.." he sniffled. Alec leaned back on the couch and shut his eyes. He reached over and pulled Magnus next to him and clung to him like a life line. Magnus looked extremely pale and looked ready to vomit. Alec rubbed his stomach to try to soothe him. Magnus shut his eyes tight and curled up, starting to cry again. Alec just cried next to him and held onto him; never wanting to let go

Only about a month had past, and Alec had to go. Magnus opened a portal leading to Iris. Alec walked though with his boyfriend and immediately found his family. He embraced them tightly and almost started to cry. He hated the fact that he had to leave his family and boyfriend. They soon said their goodbyes and he walked over to Magnus. The warlock wiped his own eyes and wiped Alec's eyes. Alec three his arms around him tightly and sniffled. Magnus did the same and rubbed his back gently. Alec pulled away and Magnus fixed his gear for him. "I love you Alexander. I love you so much" he smiled and stroked his cheek. "I'll see you soon okay?" He kissed him deeply and Alec did the same. The shadowhunter pulled away from the warm embrace and smiled at him. He swung his bow on his back and waved at his family and Magnus again before he left with the rest of the army.
