Chapter 19: Duo Shinobi Prt.1-Vanguard Hunters

Roka was wandering the streets, making her way to the Fighter's Plaza. Though she knew what to do, she had no idea how to do it. She had to find a Clan Guardian, so heading to the Fighter's Plaza as Yudai instructed would be her best bet. After entering the Fighter's Plaza, she fought for about an hour and asked around for anything that might help her search for the Clan Guardian. Just when she was about to give up her search, she overheard two guys and girl talking to each other about something of interest.

"Hey guys, I heard this rumour about these two crazy-strong fighters. Apparently they call themselves Duo Shinobi." The girl told her two friends.
"Yeah, I heard that used cards no-one's ever seen before. They're said to be 'The unofficial best fighter's in the country'!" One of the boys replied.
"Not only that, but they're no novices when it comes to one-on-one fighting. My pal knows this guy who says he fought one of them and he lost in three minutes flat!"

Roka needed to know more about 'Duo Shinobi'. These two cards be the ones she was looking for. She walked over to the group, immediately asking for details.

"Hey, do know where I could find these Duo Shinobi guys?" She asked. The looked at each other then one of the boys piped up.
"Yeah, I heard the were at the park about 25 minutes ago. But you're a pretty girl, so I'll give you some advice. Don't fight them. There's this other rumour that says they have another name; Vanguard Hunters. If you lose against them, they'll force you're rarest card from you and they'll sell it. No questions asked, no begging answered."

Roka pondered this for a while. She knew that she'd be gambling with her most treasured item in the world, her deck, to two people who had the audacity to take cards from people. But it was either take the chance or the world is destroyed, and there was only one viable option there. Roka gathered her things, thanked the three and sprinted for the park.

"Maybe there's a way I can peacefully convince them to help us."

Not too long she reached the park. A place of peace and tranquility, where troubles seem to just melt away. It did the same for Roka too...until her peace of mind was shattered by a sound of a crying child, to which she rushed in the direction of the sound.
When Roka arrived she saw two fighters, a male and a female who were supposedly 16-year old twins, opposite another fighter about the age of ten. She moved closer to hear they were saying.

"Sorry kid, but you lost, so your Ancient Dragon, Tyrannolegend is ours now. Deal with it." Said the male. He had short black hair, purple eyes and tall, lean figure. He wore a black and white button-up shirt over a purple t-shirt, white pants and a black dress shoes.

"But I only wanted to get my sister's card back! Don't take mine too!" The boy said, tears still flowing down his face like a stream.

"I'm sorry, that's the price to pay to play by our rules." The female replied in a fake sweet voice. She had long, curly, black hair with pink and purple highlights, blue eyes and was average height and slim. She wore a pink long-shirt, purple yoga pants that went down to hr calves, and pink and white converse shoes. She also had a black chocker and several bracelets on her right arm. Roka decided to intervene before things got out of hand.

"Hey there, I'm Roka Mizukami, great to meet you. I was wondering if I could talk to you two for a minute and if you want to give that card back.

"Sure, we can talk. But we're not giving the card back. This kid knew full well what he was getting into and he lost the fight and his card. Unless...you wanna be a hero a fight us for his and his sisters card." He sneered.

"Fine, whatever. But we talk first." Roka demanded.

"Yes, yes. My is Shun Kirikazane and this is my twin sister, Luna Kirikazane. We are both 16 years old,and are twins." He said with a theatrical bow.

"Right...so Shun. What decks do you two use?"

"I use the Murakumo clan, while my sister uses the Nubatama clan."

"Two clans from the Dragon Empire, huh? One last thing. Did either of you have any abnormal dreams recently?" She asked. They looked at each, a little freaked out.

"How did you kno...Ohhh, I get it. You're one of those Defender people who have to find Clan Guardians like us right?" Luna replied. Roka was kind of surprised.

"Wait, you two know you're Clan Guardians and I'm a Defender?" She asked. The twins laughed.

"Of course! The new cards, the dream, this new energy I feel and now you! It can't mere coincidence! I mean, what idiot experiences all that and think it's just a coincidence?!" Shun scoffed.

"I see. So you acknowledge the fact that your Clan Guardians which, I might add, is a huge responsibility. So, I need you to help my friends and I and while your at it, return the cards you took." Roka demanded.

"Yeah...no. Sure we know being a C.G is important and all that, but we still have a business to run. So, no can do." Shun said.

"Business? You defeat fighters and take their favourite cards! What kind of business is that?" They didn't realise that the kid was still there.

"Can I have my card back now ?" He asked.

"Kid, the adults are talking!" They all replied.

"Fine I'll admit, it's not vey clean work, but we can't do anything else." He put his hand to his chin to think for a while. "I've got it. If you can beat one of us in a fight, we'll give you all the cards we took to do with as you please and we'll help you. But if you lose, in exchange, your entire deck is ours. Those terms okay?" He asked. Roka sighed.

"I guess there's no turning back now. Fine, you've got yourself a deal."

Personality: Warm and caring around friends, but around disliked people, she becomes stern and direct. The 'mom' of the group, always caring and worrying about her friends. Very compassionate towards those suffering from loss.
