Elijah kept worrying about the red door, the one she had drawn was identical to the one he had seen in his visions of Tatia.
He paced his own room trying to think of every other explanation for why she would draw a red door. Maybe it was a physical red door, not the mental one he has, maybe it was all just a coincidence.
Sasha sat with her legs crossed on her bed. Her head in her hands, both of them had just up and left the room without considering how she was feeling.
And she wasn't feeling too good.
"Sasha" Elijah would usually knock on the door before entering, but this time he just walked in
"Go away" she said, contemplating whether she should throw anything in her temper, but it wouldn't do much.
Elijah sat on the edge of the bed and looked at her, telling her he wasn't going away.
"What do you want?" She asked, other than to tell me off she thought sarcastically
Elijah wanted to start by asking her the most important question he had been oblivious to, when he was too distracted by the imminent danger she was in "nobody has asked you how you feel about him back in town" he said "how do you feel about it?"
Sasha was looking down and picking at her nails when he asked the question, her head shot up, showing her bloodshot eyes. He knew she wasn't crying because she got caught tonight.
"I didn't think anyone acknowledged my feelings; you all flipped at me" she mumbled "I'm freaking petrified"
"I'm really sorry if I made you feel small" Elijah apologised, he could tell she was scared, her heart beat had not slowed down since he caught her in the streets
"I thought I'd be okay, going out on my own, I always used to do it" Sasha shrugged "they all kept pushing me and that woman wouldn't move out of the way, I couldn't help myself"
"I thought that was you" Elijah nodded "I noticed the specks of blood on your dress"
"I liked that dress" she let out a small inappropriate laugh "she'll be alright, I didn't drill too deep into her brain"
"We'll get it cleaned, I'm sure Rebekah has enough knowledge on the whole 'blood on dress' subject" Elijah returned
"Thanks" she smiled sincerely, her arms wrapped around herself
"So" Elijah didn't want to bring it up but he had to, he didn't know what happened and he needed to "what happened for Daniel to hate you so much?"
"Oh he doesn't hate Me" she burst out laughing "he's obsessed with me, it's like if he doesn't have me then nobody can"
Elijah raised his eyebrows at the way she laughed at such a serious situation.
"I'll tell you from my point of view; there are... Other stories that are completely fake" she said
She held her hands out "well come on then, I can show you"
Elijah slid his hands into hers, they were quite cold and he could feel her shake a little.
Sasha was sat in her room in the French quarter. The light was on as it was pitch black outside. Sasha looked around the room and checked outside her door.
She then proceeded to push her window up and jump out. She lived on the ground floor so it wasn't too bad to sneak out.
"Daniel" she whispered as she entered the gates of the Lafayette cemetery.
"Sash" he emerged from a tomb, walking up to hug her "thank you for meeting me again; I know it's dark and very dangerous for you"
"It's okay" she smiled "I've actually come to like the darkness"
Daniel had been a very powerful witch student, until of course, he turned a bit crazy and was cast out. It was only a few years ago when Sasha and Daniel actually started to date. He tried to kill her parents, but despite all the warnings, she never believed them.
So she snuck out every night to meet him. They had been speaking about creating a new type of magic, something that would make the witches stronger, power wise and physical wise. It would help them overcome the vampire's that ruled.
But Daniel had something different in mind. He lead her astray, leading her family to think she was going off the rails. He lead her to believe they were doing this for the good of the coven, but he wasn't.
He couldn't do this by himself, with his and Sasha's power together they could do whatever they wanted. Daniel would add some ingredients to make their new magic, that would do the equivalent of a vampire switching their emotions off, but for witches.
It was kind of like dark magic, and what that could do to a witch. It would block everything out, and since he was expecting only him and her to use it, he linked them together, he linked their power together. That means he could be the one to get through to her and instead of her going completely off the rails, she would answer to him, she would follow orders.
And obviously he wouldn't make their power equal. She was always a little stronger so now they had this clean slate, he decided to make himself superior. She didn't have half the power he had.
"He decided to be ironic and call the magic Zen" she laughed "I didn't think any of it until I found myself at home, in my room, being shaken awake by my friends mother"
"What did she say?" Elijah asked
"She told me that when I was separated from him for a certain amount of time, I go back to the way I am now" she informed him "she said that they took him to the fauline cottage, and I was finally safe. I felt relieved, hurt and distraught at the same time, but that's not the half of it" she shook her head
Elijah could tell that she wasn't finished with telling the story, and the next part was even worse than the beginning. He placed his hand on her knee "it's alright, you don't have to" he said but she ignored him.
"I was told that I killed my family" she said "I killed them all, and they described it to me in such detail"
"and the thing is Elijah" her bottom lip quivered as she tried to think back "I can't remember any of it" she began to sob "and I know it's for the best but it still haunts me"
Her eyes were puffy and redder than they had been before "Elijah I can't remember the look in my moms eyes when I wrapped my hands around her neck and strangled her" she took a breathe before starting again "I can't remember hearing my father's cries as I stabbed him with his own dagger" she looked down at her fingers and back up to Elijah "I can't even remember my brother, my 10 year old brother trying to hide in the corner, watching his big sister kill his mommy and daddy, I can't remember walking up to him and saying sorry before I melted him from the inside out. I can't remember watching as his eyes bleed, I made a 10 year olds death the most painful out of all of my family"
The way she said it broke his heart. Nobody should have to deal with that at her age. A 16 year old girl being forced to kill her own family "that wasn't your fault"
"Wasn't it? I was the naive one that believed Daniel" she let out a sarcastic laugh "he escaped the cottage in the next couple of days, he murdered half of the coven, somehow they got me into safety, in that basement, they put a cloaking spell on me" her voice turned monotone as if she were emotionless, like she didn't care anymore "I heard him say that he'd find me, and when he does, everyone will be so sorry, that if he couldn't have me then nobody will"
Elijah couldn't let her carry on, he knew that the worst of it she had already said. So he shushed her, and out his arm around her. She cried into his shoulder.
Elijah has been through a tough time in these past years, but no 21 girl should have witnessed that much.
ALRIGHT! So we have finally found out what happened between Sasha and Daniel. He's a crazy bastard! What do you think of him?
