The parade started early in the day, but her and Elijah had decided to go when it gets darker, she wanted to see the lights most of all, and they wouldn't be on in the day. Plus she didn't want any witches from her coven to recognise her. Sure they knew she had gone, Sophie must have told them, but Sasha wasn't quite sure on how they felt towards her. If someone had done what she did, she would hate them.

But before she knew it, it was almost time to get ready. She knew that she would be all dressed up way before Elijah would even think of getting ready. A mix of excitement and fear had settled in Sasha's stomach, she hoped that it would be as good as she imagined.

Her hair was naturally straight, but for once she had decided to curl it ever so slightly so they fell into small waves. A beautiful waterfall of dark brown hair fell down her shoulders and back.

The dress she had chosen. Well the dress Rebekah had chosen for her was gorgeous. It was white of course, it fell off the shoulders with 3/4 length sleeves made purely out of lace. The skirt of the dress, dropped to above her knees, which also was topped with a beautifully intricate lace design. The back of the dress dipped, showing the middle of her bare back, revealing the small dimples she had.

The dress was absolutely perfect, and by the looks of it, Sasha would be the one of the only ones who looked elegant and not slutty, by the looks of the other dresses that were being sold in spades.

And to top it off, Rebekah had shown her this accessory that she had never even heard of. A flower crown. It was just a small green halo with white roses budding off, until the green was completely covered. It matched the dress perfectly.

And her white ballet flats would do to top the outfit off. She looked amazing.

She fidgeted for a couple of minutes on her bed, her excitement getting the better of her. Elijah would probably be ready now, he told her that he'd come and get her but she couldn't wait.

She snuck out of the room and tiptoed through the corridor to Elijah's room, he wasn't there. But she could hear his voice coming from the door that was cracked open.

"You look beautiful" Elijah's voice caught her attention and through the small crack, she saw him approach the girl that Sasha assumed to be the hybrid.

"Thanks" she smiled. Sasha felt disappointed, somehow she wanted Elijah to be saying that to her. That's why she made such an effort. "It's just a shame that we can't go together tonight" she groaned

"I give you my word that I'll make it up to you" Elijah said "I really am sorry"

Okay. So Elijah was supposed to be going with the hybrid, who looked immaculate in her outfit and made Sasha almost turn green. But now she felt as if she were a burden. Marcel didn't want to take her and neither did Elijah.

And she always hated feeling like a burden. But there was no way she was going to be stopped from going to this parade. And there was no way of her standing between Elijah and Hayley.

The floor creaked which snapped Sasha from her thoughts and switched her into go mode. She quickly and quietly tiptoed to the door of her room before Elijah could spot her. She knew she wouldn't get in safely, so she pulled out her phone and held it up to her ear.

"Yeah Marcel, alright then, I'll send Elijah off and you'll be here for 7? Great that's fantastic, see you" she made up the conversation in front of Elijah who seemed confused.

"What was that?" He asked when she slipped the phone back into her bra

"I assumed that you had someone else you wanted to accompany tonight, so I rang Marcel and asked if he could take me, apparently Rebekah took a rain check" she lied "you can go with ..." She didn't know her name "the person you really want to go with"

Nice one Sasha. She thought. Good save.

"Marcel will be here by 7 so you two get off, I'll wait" her enthusiasm confused Elijah into actually walking out of the door with Hayley, well Sasha was practically pushing them out of the door.

Despite how much she wanted to go with Elijah, to get to know him better and for him to know her story better, she thought she could handle some responsibility. She could handle being alone like she had before.

She'd be fine. Sasha ran her finger along the inside of her shoe to make sure it fit properly, before checking if the coast was clear and heading out into the hustle and bustle of New Orleans.
