Chapter 12

Sasha was thrown into an empty apartment. Her mind fell in blanks, being around the man she has been hiding from for 5 years took a large effect on her. She allowed herself to pay attention to the door slamming in her face and the sound of the locks on the door falling into place.

"let me out" she shouted. She stood up and started banging on the dirty white door, this apartment looked like it hadn't been used in years. maybe it was for her? For those two when he prevailed over the coven of witches he sought to destroy or lead. She was never quite sure anymore. "Daniel please" she started to cry. "please please please"

Sasha let her body slide to the floor, the patterned carpet didn't break any of her fall, it was so thin that she could practically fell every lump and bump the original flooring had. But the thing that made her feel so sick, was not that she was in the hands of a complete psychopath, or that this could be the end of her life, it was that Elijah had traded her for someone else, he knew how scared she was, he knew how important it was to keep her away from him. For God's sake, he was supposed to protect her not trade her away like she was just an object.

What would Marcel say? Surely he would do something to rescue her. That's if he could find her, Daniel was always one step ahead, He knew Elijah's other weakness and he would probably have cast a blocking spell on Sasha already. 

Sophie would be furious, she knew that for a fact. Sasha just hoped that she wouldn't do anything to Elijah to provoke him into doing something awful.

"Sasha!" she heard a familiar voice on the other side of the door that cut her thoughts off immediately "Sasha its me, Elijah, let me in" he pleaded

Sasha stood up immediately and started to fiddle with the door handle "Elijah?" she said with a sigh of relief "Elijah I can't open the door, he's locked it from the outside"

"alright" he said "stand back I'm coming in"

Sasha quickly jumped back, her heart beating a mile a minute. He actually came back for her. He must have changed his mind, or this would have been his plan all along. He would find her and rescue her before anything bad could happen. Therefore he wouldn't have to watch anyone die. "quickly before he comes back" she said

The door immediately burst open and Sasha jumped into his line of sight. But what she saw wasn't Elijah there to rescue her.

"Did you actually think he would come and save you from me? The big bad witch" Daniel was on the other side of the door, almost crying with laughter.

Sasha's heart sunk. She began to slow her breathing, what was she thinking?

She looked down at her feet, the nausea feeling coming back but twice as much this time. She didn't know how long it would take for her to actually throw up now.

"Alright, don't give me this puppy dog look, no more jokes" he raised his hands in false surrender. He used to do that when she went in a mood with him, she would give him the puppy dog eyes and he couldn't help but melt. "please just remember that you are mine, you always have been and always will be. Mine. Not some vampire's"

"I am my own person, I do not belong to anyone and I am not an object" she spat

"well i would tell that to your precious Elijah, he traded you like a bad pokemon card" he said "I do admit I was kind of jealous when I found out you two were" he pondered for a moment to find the correct word "close"

"we are not" she murmured

"Don't lie, I know when you are lying" Daniel said as if she were a 4 year old child 

A tear slowly dripped down her cheek which was quickly wiped away by her sleeve "oh come on Sasha" he said "I told you ages ago that I am the only one who wants you, Elijah didn't have any feelings for you, he was only using you for your magic"

"and you weren't?" she scoffed

"Don't be like that" he hissed "Don't you remember the way I made you feel? Don't be scared about it, you know the truth"

"You never had any feelings for me, only for my magic" she retaliated

"No, Sasha" he became stern now "Everything was real, I chose you to do this with, not for your magic. Do you find it hard to believe I actually loved you?"

"Yeah because you manipulate the person you love into murdering her own family" She felt a bubble of laughter inside of her but decided to choke it back down.

"They were trying to take you away from me. You did have a choice, you were only easily manipulated because you had the same feelings for me" he said, which was true. She would have done anything for him. He was the only thing on the earth that made her feel whole, but when everything started toffee up. She began to realise that her parents were right.

"if you believed i loved you, you needn't worry about what my parents were saying. If i loved you, i would have stayed"

"Do you know if you have something important to you, lets say if you are holding a vase. Very fragile, beautiful, and everyone starts talking to you, distracting you so you are not fully concentrating on this vase, and when you do focus on it again, you finally see the danger in it, though you are still holding on to the vase, you still think you're going to drop it and lose it. So when you are carrying it, you try your best to avoid any distractions" his example confused Sasha immensely "Though I had you, I was afraid of losing you to other people, so I took out the main factor"

Sasha huffed at him, what a monster.

"And you've been playing a long game with me, and it is time that we finally finish what we started"
