"Well he's definitely dead" Rebekah broke the awkward silence between her and Elijah. They had gone to check if Daniel was definitely dead. He was very much. "Poor bastard, didn't see it coming"

"I hope he suffered" Elijah muttered to himself, almost spitting at the corpse

"Calm it, Elijah. If he had suffered then that means Sasha would as well and you won't want to wish that upon her" Rebekah almost snapped "I would say he woke up, had about 5 minutes of anger" she glanced over to the wall which had been ruined with fist marks and then to the vanity table where everything was scattered on the floor,
Mirrors smashed. The works "and then he felt a sharp sensation in his chest,
So he immediately goes to sit on the bed and boom he's dead" Rebekah smiled, pleased with that sypnosis of how he died.

Elijah turned away from the body. Not because he was sick of the sight of him. He would never be sick of the sight of the dead body that tortured ones he cared for. But for the fact that he knew Sasha had lay on that bed, no doubt with him and the thoughts of what they had done in that room had sickened him.

So he walked into the lounge, trying to forget the thoughts that had infiltrated his mind. But another thought happened to cross.

This room, that door. She was locked away in here in order to get her to give in to him. She must've hit that door a million times with no answer.

"Elijah" Rebekah interrupted him. His hand was leant against a wall to try and keep him upright and his breathing had significantly heavied.

He turned his head to face Rebekah. This was all too much for the 1,000 year old vampire. It was too much to be here. His eyes filled with water which he tried to blink away.

"Elijah, you need to let it out, god you're an a thousand year old vampire, a few tears aren't going to make a bloody difference. Cry god damn it" Rebekah said, noticing the redness of his eyes and the glistening due to unshed tears.

"I can't be here" he said storming out of the room and into the fresh air. That's what he needed. Air. To help him breathe better as he felt confined in that small apartment.

Rebekah followed swiftly behind "Elijah wait" she said

"Wait for what?" He turned around and finally let his feelings flow through his mouth and through his eyes. A small sob escaped from his lips "I don't have anything to wait for anymore"

"All you need is time" Rebekah replied

"Time. Yes because that heals everything" Elijah's tears fell freely now, he wiped them away but they didn't stop. He feared they'd never stop. "And it had only taken me 500 years to get Tatia out of my head" he snapped

"Elijah I'm only trying to help" she said back "don't bite my head off"

"Im a terrible man" he said finally, really breaking down "I'm a terrible man" he repeated over and over again as Rebekah wrapped her arms around him. "Why did I give her away? I'm such an awful person" he sobbed into her chest

"There there" Rebekah had seen Elijah upset before, but this was worse. He felt despair for losing her, he felt it 10 times worse. "I think this witch has taken its toll on everyone, Marcel's not coming out of his room, Sophie's dead. Even Louise, the one who hated her is starting to act like her. I think it's some psychological way of dealing with the loss"

And then everything sort of occurred to him. He had been so oblivious due to grieving over the past few days he hadn't seen what was in front of him. It had only taken the place where she was tortured to actually realise it. Sasha wasn't dead after all. He had to look a bit harder, read between the lines but when he did. It was sort of obvious.

"She's not dead" Elijah exclaimed, standing up straight, pacing, not knowing what to do.

"She's not dead?" Rebekah asked in confusion "Elijah you stabbed her, we all saw it"

"She's smart. If she knew she was eventually going to die she would've taken precautions" Elijah replied, a hint of hope glimmered in his eyes and butterflies hit the walls of his stomach with great force.

"We don't know that for sure" Rebekah said "please don't get your hopes up. Anyway, what could she have done?"

"Just think Rebekah"'Elijah said "who has been acting suspicious these past few days, who literal fought for the custody of her body, who had a mark to represent Sasha on her hand."

"Oh my God" Rebekah said at the sudden realisation "what the bloody hell are you waiting for?" She exclaimed "go!"

Elijah smiled at Rebekah, giving her a small kiss on the cheek. He had to be right. He just had to be.

He turned quickly and sped off into the distance. If it were Sasha, he had some ideas of where she could be.

Starting from her families tomb.
