"I can't pick her up" Sophie stood in a dimly lit room with her hands hovering over a map.

The candles beside it flickered, showing the different towns in this big city. A pile of ashes, from something Sasha owned lay still in the corner. They weren't giving anything away.

Marcel paced the room with his hands on his head. He counted his breaths and tried to calm himself down. But he was furious.

Marcel stormed over to the table and flipped it over, all of the contents scattered across the floor. "God damn it" he shouted

Elijah was in the corner, he had enough of pacing so he had sat down.

"You traded her?!" Marcel shouted, finally being able to get his words out ever since Elijah had confessed "you gave her away to a guy that can kill her"

"I was trying to save them both" Elijah snapped "Sasha said he wouldn't kill her"

"He's right" Sophie interrupted before Marcel could flip out anymore "he'll do something worse"

"What?" Elijah asked

"She must have told you the last time she was with him, she went through this big crazy phase" Sophie began

"Yes and you had to take her away" Elijah added

"To bring her back to normal" Sophie confirmed "well, when they were separated, their magic was split and that's why he was trying to find her. Now that he has her he can link with her again, become as powerful as he wanted"

"How can this affect Sasha?" Elijah asked

"Well, you know what happened at the beginning. Her humanity will slowly drain away but by bit until she's fully under his control" she said "if that is going to be the rest of her life, I'd wish she'd sooner die"

"We can get her back though, we know how to do it" Elijah said, standing up

"It took a whole coven of witches to take him down even for the shortest of moments to hide her away" Sophie retaliated "even then, most of them died and some were so traumatised that they either killed themselves or stopped magic altogether, if you're going up against him, you're going up against him alone. You don't have the witches"

"What about vampires? And you? Aren't you going to help?" Elijah was trying to think of every way possible

"The only vampires that would be of use would be an original, they can't set him back as much as he witches can, he'd rip their hearts straight out" she said "I'll help, but I can't guarantee that an original vampire and a normal witch are going to make the slightest of differences"

"We can at least try" Elijah said. He was feeling so horrible with himself. How could he let her go.

"But first we need to find her, and right now we can't" Sophie shrugged "all because of..."

"... All because of me" Elijah knew what she was going to say. It was his fault, but he was sick of people looking at him. So he stood up and stormed out of the room and out of the compound.

The streets were busier than normal, but he didn't care. He turned and banged his head against the wall, over and over again until he felt people's eyes on him.

As he turned, he saw her.

She looked uncomfortable and from what he could see. She was on her own.

For the first time he had known her, Sasha was actually wearing black. She never did, it was always blue or green. But this time she had a long sleeved black shirt on and black jeans.

Elijah tried to focus his gaze on her as people constantly cut off his line of sight.

The next thing he knew he could see Daniel appear and place his arm around her waist to pull her in. He then gave her a kiss on the top of his head. Jealousy and anger filled Elijah at that first sight. Sasha looked down he could tell she was disgusted as she flinched at his every touch.

Her eyes flicked up and met Elijah's. The dark eyeliner highlighted her eyes which now looked glazed over and didn't shine as much as what they did before.

He felt his blood begin to boil as her eyes bored into his. He could bare it, however the temperature started to rise and he could feel the sweat start to drip. Elijah used his index finger to loosen his collar and try to let the air in.

Her gaze broke and Elijah took a few moments to cool down before he realised that both of them were heading to the compound.

He swiftly turned back in before they could get there, but he didn't have any time to warn Sophie or Marcel.

They were standing at the door, staring out. "Found her" Sophie said casually, none of them knew why both of them stood there.

"Don't mind us" Daniel shouted with a smug look on his face "I just want to show off my new trophy, I want to show you what she can do"

"She's not a toy" Elijah hissed

"Oh isn't she?" Daniel winked and leant in before shouting out loud "Sasha, sweetie, should we show our friends the new trick I taught you"

Sasha looked at Daniel and then back to the three in front of her with an evil smirk. "Just give the orders"

He held out his hand and Elijah watched as her small hand slid into his. It wasn't the perfect fit, he could only think about her hand In his and how it fit like a jigsaw puzzle.

The air then filled with something neither Marcel or Elijah had felt before. Sophie had.

"This is bad guys" she said as they all watched the pair step closer and closer together. Daniel's eyes were closed as they began to chant but Sasha had her eyes open, she glanced up at Elijah with her eyebrows raised as if to ask him for help. A slight nudge from Daniel's hand sent her back into evil witch mode and she shut her eyes.

His hand slid up and down her forearm as hers stayed stationary.

Suddenly Elijah heard Sophie's high pitched screams and then Marcel's. They both knelt on the floor with their hands over their ears. At first Elijah wondered why he was still stood up, but all was answered when he felt a million needles jabbing into his brain. Far worse than what any usual witch could do.

But his Main concern was Sophie. She couldn't die right now, she was the only witch that would help him.

He managed to turn his head but every movement, every beat of his heart or throb of his pulse felt like death. And then it stopped and his forehead met the floor in relief.

"We're not going to kill any of you; not if we seek to control you " Daniel walked over and held his hand out for Elijah to take. But Elijah almost spat and got himself up whilst glaring at him. Daniel then whispered into Elijah's ear "she's such an amazing creature isn't she?"

Elijah turned away "Sasha you can't really be serious" he said

Sasha tilted her head at him, her curled air all windswept and her breathing was heavy from the magic she had just used. "Can't I?" She laughed as she aggressively swung her arm, followed by furniture flipping and light bulbs blowing.

"Enough" Daniel waved his hand at Sasha "darling I have things to do, people to kill, can I trust you alone to scare the living daylights into your old friends"

Sasha laughed "my pleasure" she crossed her arms and leant on one leg,
looking very determined.

As he left, Sasha used her powers to pull Sophie closer "I need you to bring me Louise" she said. Louise was a pretty witch that she had known since birth, they had drifted apart when Sasha and Daniel had started dating, Sasha thought it was jealousy. But she had hated her ever since.

Sophie nodded. Not only because it was her life at risk but she knew that Louise could be another witch to help bring him down.

"Marcel get out of here" she shoed him away "and don't even think about trying to take me down, you've never seen power like what I have now"

And the room emptied until Elijah and Sasha were left.
