NEWER OCTOBER UPDATE!

Hello everyone! Long time no see! Just as I promised, I have returned with the latest installment of this fic! Today marks the release of chapters nine through thirteen as part of the great big re-write. But I have also used this new chapter to announce that on October 17th, WE WILL HAVE THE FIRST CHAPTER OF ACT V! All in all, We have ended up with ~350k words over the span of 27 chapters! Please, do look forward to that! This chapter will self-destruct when the REAL chapter 147 drops!

As a note to FFnet readers, the chapter updates for these CAN be rather slow, and last time I did this, it took days for the changes to sporadically go through. You'll know when a chapter is updated though once it is " " rather than "Chapter: XX" for the title. I do apologize if you have trouble with this, but if you really can't wait and are willing to use WP, the new chapter re-writes will be under the REDUX titled version of my fic.

UPDATE CHAPTER

Today, for the 4 year anniversary of the fic, I have decided to release the first part of the REDUX – or rather, the re-write of the fic. Uploaded right now, are the first 8 chapters. While each chapter roughly doubled in size, there are NO changes to the plot. The entire purpose of the re-write is to fix typos, standardize spelling/terms, add description, and improve character dialog.

For FFnet, and AO3 readers, you will know a chapter has been re-written because the listed title name will no longer have the word "chapter" in it, but rather, will only be "Ch."

You will NOT need to read these chapters once I start back up on releasing new chapters (and speaking of which, I have finished all of my arc 4.5 content, and have been moving on to arc 5 at the time of writing this. I'm sitting on approx. ~75k-100k unpublished words so far.).

As for WP readers, this is a little more complicated.

To preserve the comments on WP, I have created an entirely new entry/story for the REDUX. However, rather than each chapter having its own chapter, they will be uploaded in "volumes." The first volume has chapters 1 through 3, and the second has 4 through 8.

Why did I do this? Apparently WP has a limit of 200 chapters, and since we're already at 146, I have consolidated the smaller chapters into the aforementioned "volumes."

Once I actually publish the real chapter 147, it will be on this older entry/story rather than the REDUX one. I plan on getting all of my arc 4.5, 5, and 6 content fit into the 200 chapter limit, and once it hits that chapter limit, I will only be updating the REDUX entry, but, that won't be until I adapt arc 7, which is some time away still. Please check the WP story description for the REDUX version for more information if you want.

So, in the meantime as you wait for the real chapter 147, why not read the re-written 1-8? (FFnet is naturally really slow to update, so please be patient with that, and double check the chapter name, as again, only "Ch.X" entries are the updated ones)
