Trevor's POV

The air in the rehab center felt different that morning — lighter, almost electric. My bags were packed by the door, my paperwork signed, and my counselor Mason stood beside me with a proud smile.

Mason: -grinning- "You've come a long way, Trevor. Don't forget what brought you here — and what's waiting for you out there."

Trevor: -holding his duffel bag strap- "I won't. I've got a reason now — a whole family waiting."

Mason: nodding "Then go to them. You've earned your way home."

I took one last look around the room — the place that had broken me down and built me back up — and whispered softly to myself, "Thank you."

Kat's POV

At home, Kat moved around the kitchen nervously, straightening everything twice. The house smelled like cinnamon and coffee — her comfort scents. She kept glancing at the clock every five minutes, her heart racing faster with each tick.

In the living room, Skylar sat on the floor beside little Nick, who was coloring on a big piece of paper.

Nick: -holding up the page proudly- "Sissy Kat! Look!"

In bright, crooked letters, the paper read "WELCOME HOME TREBOR."

Kat: -laughing softly through tears- "It's perfect, bro. He'll love it."

Matt came in carrying a box of old photo frames.

Matt: -smiling faintly- "Thought we could hang a few of these around. Maybe remind him of how far he's come."

Kat: -nodding- "Yeah... he needs to see how much we still love him."

Skylar looked over at Kat, gently resting a hand on her arm.

Skylar: "You look nervous."

Kat: -smiling weakly- "More like terrified. What if it's different now? What if I'm different?"

Matt: -kindly -"That's the point, Kat. You both are. Different doesn't mean worse. It means stronger."

Before Kat could reply, her phone buzzed — a message from Trevor.

On my way home. I can't wait to see you.

Kat's breath caught in her throat. She looked around at the people who had stood by her — Skylar, Matt, and little Nick waving his drawing in the air — and whispered softly:

Kat: to herself "He's really coming home."

Ava's POV

Meanwhile, at Ava and Alex's house, the twins were playing on the living room rug, giggling as Alex helped them build a tower of blocks.

Ava: watching with a smile "Trevor comes home today. Kat must be over the moon."

Alex: nodding, smiling "It's good to see them all healing. Feels like the whole family's breathing again."

Ava: softly "It does... maybe love really can rebuild everything that's been broken."

Alex: wrapping an arm around her "It already has."

They sat quietly, the laughter of the twins filling the house — the sound of peace finally finding its place.
