Rain from the storm slicked the streets as heavy mist fell from the sky, reflecting the neon glow of the corner store lights, shimmering in the distance. Tye sat at the red light patiently waiting for it to turn green. For a rainy night, the streets were unusually busy. He noticed the small crowd of young niggas huddled around the store, using the marquee as their personal umbrellas. Down the block from them more people lined the bus stop doing the same thing. Traffic was moderate but still existent. The late hour pushing 1 a.m.

Tye pressed the button to make sure his doors were locked when he noticed a few of them staring at his ride with the look of envy in their eyes. Fear was nonexistent. He had his bitch tucked between his seats. By his bitch it meant the ___ caliberg pistole that he never left home without. He locked the door for their safety because his would be good regardless. He figured if he was about to be robbed he wasn't going to make it easy on them by having unlocked doors. Luckily the light turned green and he was able to drive away before shit got messy. He parked his ride inside the garage and grabbed his large duffle back before hopping out. Lightly he jogged up the steps and used his key to enter because he knew by now Destiny had fallen asleep.

" It's me, baby" He warned as he dropped his keys and bag on the table before removing his jacket. He tossed it on the sofa before rounding the corner to the bedroom where she was.

The room was pitch black, not even the tv was on so when he flicked on the light Destiny's eyes squinted as she tried shielding them with her hand. He smiled when he saw her. After a long day she was a site to see. She was just the way that he preferred her to be. Natural. She was in-between hair styles and had a hair appointment scheduled for the next day so for now he got to enjoy seeing her in her rarest form. She had her hair pulled back into a low ponytail. It was late so she wasn't wearing lashes or makeup either. Her natural baby hairs framed her forehead. A few more aligned the back of her neck.

" What time is it?" She asked grogally

" A little after one. Where's my hug? " He replied before sitting down on the bed next to her. He pulled her in his embrace and kissed her lips. Destiny made a funny face because she hated when he kissed her before she had the chance to freshen up her breath. Tye simply laughed it off.

" Did you cook today? I'm hungry then a mu'fucka"

" Nah, but I got something you can eat though" She said only half joking.

" As delightful as that sounds, It ain't gonna stop a nigga stomach from growling. I need some food. After that I got chu though"

" I didn't get the chance to make anything today"

" Damn, babe"

" I know. I'm sorry. I tried but I just didn't have it in me today"

" Are you hungry?" He asked

" Yeah, a little."

"Aight, we can stop by a waffle house and grab something but first I need you to do me a favor"

"Anything" She replied

" That's my, girl." He said smiling before pecking her forehead. "throw on some shorts or something and meet me in the living room" He threw over his shoulder before exiting the room.

When Destiny arrived in the living room, Tye was sitting on the sofa. She noticed that all the decorations and centerpiece had been removed from the coffee table. A single black duffle back sat on top of it, half zipped. Her eyes immediately gravitated towards the continents inside. It was half zipped but opened enough for her to know what she was looking at. There were packages inside shaped like large rectangles, covered with red tape. She also saw hints of cash buried beneath them but she couldn't see the full amount to make a guest on how much it was.
