" They want me to do what?" Donnie said as her face twisted into a serious mean mug.

She sat up straight in her seat as she dead panned on her manager. She was in the middle of getting her hair done for a video shoot. Things were already a little chaotic as is and here he was coming at her with more unnecessary nonsense. She didn't need this shit right now. When she felt the comb touching her scalp again, her temper rose. Donnie swiftly moved her head to the side rejecting her touch. The woman stood back looking confused as she placed her hands on her hips, not sure if she should finish her job or not.

The news Donnie's manager just delivered had completely killed her vibe. She couldn't understand why they kept revisiting the same shit. It didn't matter who they sent to her trailer. They could send in the damn CEO of the label himself and she still wouldn't budge. Not wanting to take her anger out on the wrong person, she decided to dismiss the hairstylist for the time being. When she was gone, Donnie stood to her feet, coming face to face with Mitchell and two other members of her staff. She was dressed in plaid pajama pants and a snug mens white t-shirt. Her hair was freshly washed and prepped for braiding, so it was blown out and hanging loosely over her shoulders. The unusual appearance made her look more feminine. However she was still the same old Donnie. A little rugged, a little hood, a little rough around the edges.

" Now, Before you get all upset, we were actually thinking it may be a good idea." Mitchell said as the other team members nodded their heads in agreement.

" We, who?" She exclaimed " cause I don't remember being a part of that conversation"

" Donnie, we don't have time for this. Someone from the label will be here soon and they're going to want answers. Answers that I won't be able to provide because you're not really working with me here. We need to come to the table with something. If not we'll be wasting a lot of money and everyone's time, including yours by the way"

" So. I can't wait till they get here. Then I can tell all of y'all together. I'm not wearing that shit." She said forcefully smacking the clothes on the rack, causing a few of the pieces to fall off of their hangers.

A member of her team rushed over and picked them up. She dusted them off as best as she could before hanging them back up. Luckily Donnie hadn't done any real damage. Mitch would hate to be the one to explain how thousands of dollars worth of wardrobe got destroyed. The way she had been carrying on was beginning to piss him off. However he still had a job to do, so he made the decision to swallow his pride and get it done by any means necessary.

" I understand how you feel. If you weren't my client, I would tell you to stick to your guns, never change who you are for anyone, yada, yada. Whatever would make you sleep better at night, but I am your manager, so you have to trust me." He said convincingly. Donnie breathed heavily as she focused her eyes on the ceiling. Mitch continued to try reasoning with her.

" Let's meet them somewhere in the middle at least. I was thinking about going with more of a tomboy look. A lot of women R&B artists have done it in the past. I'm talking hudge artist like Aaliyah, TLC, Mc Lyte, Da Brat-"

" Missy elliott" A team member blurted out. Donnie looked back and forth between the three of them and grew more annoyed. If she wasn't angry before, that comment did the job.

" Are you muthafuckas deaf or something?" She paused, giving them time to answer. Rather than respond they just stood there blinking. The looks on their faces, displaying their shock. When no one spoke up, she continued on her warpath.

" I told you before. I'm not changing who I am to appease nobody"she stated.

" I think it's too soon to be so demanding. It's not a good look."
