I sprinted for the front door. Bonnie was already back in place, looking at me with plain, lifeless eyes, that bored into my skull with every move I made. Thankfully, someone was at the front door though, rattling the keys and opening the door. I just about ran into him, head first, making me stumble backwards and shake my head to clear it.

"Oh, geez, I'm sorry Mr...M-Mike?"

"Oh hey there, didn't think you'd called in yet."

The guy from the cafe stared at me, a small smile on his lips. I jumped forward, wrapping my arms around his chest as I shook slightly.

"Oh god, I wish I hadn't."

I felt him sigh. "Yeah, that's what I said too."

"What happened to Mr. Fazbear? Isn't he supposed to be here?"

"I caught him last night and asked about the night shift, he said it was taken but the day shift was open. So I took that instead, and here I am."

"Why." I demanded. "Why would you come back here?"

"I guess," he paused. "So you wouldn't have to. I know how to handle these...monsters. Better leave it to the professionals than let a rookie get hurt."

I was about to ask him if he would be willing to take the night shift again, until I remembered that I still needed the job, and the money. With a deep breath and a stubborn mind, I finally said "Well, you can't have it."

"Really? Even after what you said?"

"Looks like there's a lack of professionals to handle it." I gave a fake smirk. "Anyway, can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Where are all the other security guards? What...what happened here?"

A stern look crossed Mike's face. He placed his hands on my shoulders, looking at me dead in the eyes. "You want to know something that will help you?"

"Wh-what?" I stuttered.

"Don't ask questions you'd be better off not knowing the answer to."

When I got home, it was almost eight, and Maylene looked like she was getting ready for work. The sun was out and it hurt my eyes. She was at the car when I walked up the driveway, throwing her purse through the window. A grin crosses her lips when she spotted me and waved.

"Hey there sleepy, how was work?"

I lied. "It was great. Pretty boring actually, I'll have to bring something to do tonight."

"Oh you mean like your phone?" She held up the device, waving it like a trophy. I patted my pockets only to realize that I had left it at home before I left.

"Yeah, that would be pretty smart of me." I smiled and grabbed it from her, shocking it in my jeans. She prodded my jacket, especially the security guard patches on the sleeve.

"Wow, it's really official isn't it? You look sexy as hell, badass too."

"Shut. Up." I laughed, being caught in a yawn. "I need to go sleep, I'll see you tonight before work, okay?"

May nodded, hopping in the car and pulling out. It suddenly hit me that I just agreed to go back for another night of this crap. I cursed myself as I walked back in my house, taking my jacket and shirt off the moment I got to my room. It was hard to stay awake, so I decided to get some sleep before I had to leave again.

Short chapter sorry! This will probably be the last one I do tonight but I'll have like, three drafts saved. I kinda go nutty with book ideas >.>

Anyway, thanks and goodnight! ^~^
