The glitch

"Just be careful, okay?"

"You know I will be." I rolled my eyes at Mike, who just shook his head and suddenly reached out, pulling me into a hug. I was surprised, but hugged him back and smiled. "Better get going, my shifts about to start."

"Don't get hurt, okay?"

"Okay father dearest." I joked, waving to him. The second I got to my desk the bell tolled, and I sighed, sitting back in my chair.

I heard shouting out in the halls. I knew they were just joking around and playing, but it still startled me some. I just laughed and flipped though the tablet, half tempted to just go on the internet anyway. The only real threat was Foxy, and he could control himself for a night. I hope.

"Heeeeeeere's Freddy!"

I heard Freddy out in the party room, then a few horrid strums on Bonnie's guitar. It was actually pretty funny, and I heard Bonnie shouting to give it back.

"Asshole get off the stage you're going to break it!"

"Bonnie! Language!" Chica giggled.

"We aren't performing I don't give a flying fuc-?"

The sounds cut off abruptly as I heard crashing noises. I checked the tablet, seeing everyone looking around on the stage, confused to all hell. I noticed a slight error on the map for the tablet, a slight...gold color. Then I saw the body of the broken bear flash, the tension rising in my body as I flipped to pirates cove.

"Oh SHIT!" I screamed. The curtains were open, and I flipped to see Foxy running down the hallway. Running was a poor word, more like an animatronic fucking Usain Bolt.

I shot out of my chair, trying to hit the button on the door. I was way too late though, and he flew in the open doorway to tackle me. In my flailing I grabbed something hard, yanking it and shoving it towards Foxy. The silver object in my hand was my hairpin, which was now holding his hook from coming down on my skull.

"A-Argh me matey! L-L-Lets sail the seven seas together!"

"Foxy!" I screeched, hoping he'd come to his senses. "It's Minni! Get off of me!"

"Aye! T-That be no way to speak to ye C-Captain, first mate!"

First mate? "Foxy! Wake up!"

"D-Don't ye want to be a pirate lass!"

"Foxy!"

I screamed his name one last time, just as the pin slid from his hook and into his chest. It got stuck between some gears, getting crushed and broken in the process. I expected the hook to go flying into my skull, busting open my brain in the process. But instead it got impaled in the tile next to me, breaking the checkerboard pattern. My eyes were closed, so I had no clue what was going on.

"Lassie...?"

"F-Foxy?" I opened one eye, just to see him pulling out the chopstick with his good hand. He looked at me in a sad way.

"Aye, it be alright lass. Did I hurt ye?"

"No, just scared the hell out of me." I paused. "Was that the glitch...?"

"Aye. I be sorry ye had to witness that side of me." He stood up, helping me to my feet. I saw that he was staring at the other door, and I could see the rest of the animatronics in the doorway. They were still in their animatronic forms, which actually surprised me.

"Are you okay Minni?" Freddy asked.

"I'm okay." I smiled shakily, my heart pounding in my chest. I felt something brush through my hair and turned to see Foxy running his robotic fingers through it.

"Yer pin be broken though." He sighed. "But ye look good with yer hair down."

"Th-Thanks." I laughed, feeling a small searing sensations in my cheeks. I turned back towards the others, who were staring at us. Bonnie and Chica snickered, while Freddy seemed...distant. I cleared my throat to end the silence. "Why don't we go out in the party room? We have power now, so we don't need lanterns."

"Sounds good to me." Chica said wistfully, turning and leading us down the narrow hallway. They were so bulky as animatronics, it was kind of amazing how they could walk.

We found our way out to the party room, where everyone stretched out and screwed around to their hearts content. They must not have been able to do any of this while they weren't in control. But I couldn't blame them, now could I?

"Hey, why are you guys still animatronics?" I asked finally. They looked at me, I could tell they were confused.

"To be honest...we forgot." Bonnie said, who was suddenly a boy standing in front of me. He ran his hands through his hair, a big grin on his lips. He must have missed that.

I watched the others follow suit, stretching their limbs and enjoying themselves. Chica was repeatedly spinning around in her dress, giggling like a child. I felt someone behind me though, and I turned to see Foxy leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets, staring at the floor. I walked over to him, still slightly scared, but more than willing to help a friend if they weren't feeling okay.

"How are you holding up?" I asked quietly, just for him to glance up and sigh.

"I be fine lass. Just...disappointed in meself."

"You can't control a glitch Foxy. It wasn't your fault." I smiled. "I don't blame you for it. And remember, tomorrow you'll be fixed. So it won't happen anymore."

"Aye, that be true..." His eyes lit up some. I held out my arms, and he looked at me like he needed permission to hug me.

"Come here you big baby." I laughed. He wrapped his arms around me, tight, but not enough to hurt. I rested my head on his chest, listening to a human heartbeat beneath his ribs. He was so tall, probably over six foot. I was only five five myself.

After a while, Foxy broke the silence. I'd forgotten he was holding me, and was dozing off against his chest. "Hey lass, what happened to the doll that was in your bag?"

"Fuck!"

I took off running down the hall the second he finished his sentence. I heard everyone calling from behind me, but I kept running until I got to the parts/service room. I wasn't expecting what I saw at all.

•Freddy's P.O.V.•

I watched Foxy and Minni in the corner of the room, talking about what had happened. It kind of bothered me to see how okay she was with him still, even after he'd tried to kill her. It wasn't right.

"Come here you big baby."

She let him hug her. I frowned, feeling...hurt, I guess. It was a different kind of hurt than I was used to feeling. It was like betrayal in a way, but she hadn't done anything to betray me.

"Freddy?"

Chica walked up to me, worry in her eyes. I sighed and put on a fake smile for her. "What's up?"

"Are you okay? You just keep staring at the two of them."

"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just, confused I guess. It'll go away."

"If you say so." She smiled, glancing at the pair. "They're cute together, wouldn't you think?"

"Why would I think that?" I snapped, shocking myself. She seemed to pick it up as well, a sly smile crossing her lips.

"Oh, so it's like that. I see now." She giggled. "Might have to compete with the fox for attention. That'll be interesting to see..."

"Fuck!"

Our attention went to the corner where Foxy and Minni had been not even moments before to see them sprinting down the hall. Chica gave me one look before I was speeding off after them.
