Getting to six was...rough, to say the least.
Chica went back to banging around in the kitchen, although there were some strange noises mixed in that sounded like sobbing. Bonnie came back again, he didn't say anything though, and was gone within a few seconds. Foxy went back in his cove and Freddy...didn't move at all. I wondered why, but then again, that was a good thing.
The six a.m. bell scared the shit out of me, but in an instant I was running out the door. I needed to get home and do some research before I went back again. The chill in the air was just fading when I got to my driveway, the car already gone which meant Maylene was too. And on thing we did have: Internet.
The computer flashed on when I got inside, showing a background full of rainbows and pretty things. But I was on the search engine instantly, looking up any incidents from Freddy's Pizzeria. And holy cow, I wasn't disappointed.
Kids vanish at local pizzeria, bodies not found
Two local children were reportedly lured into a back room during the late hours of operation at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria on the night of June 26th. While video surveillance identified the man responsible and led to his capture the following morning, the children themselves were never found and presumed dead.
Police think that the suspect dressed up as a company mascot to earn the children's trust.
Five children now reported missing. Suspect convicted.
Five children are now linked to the incidents at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where a man dressed as a cartoon mascot lured them into a back room.
While the suspect has been charged, the bodies themselves were never found.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has been fighting an uphill battle ever since to convince families to return to the pizzeria.
"It's a tragedy."
A pit began to gnaw its way into my stomach. Kids went missing at Freddy's? And the bodies...God, where did those kids go...? Eventually I stumbled upon another article, one that was a little more relevant.
The bite of '87, a famous disaster that may shut down Freddy's for good
On the day of August 9th, 1987, a truly gruesome act took place at the famous pizza chain. One of the animatronics reportedly glitched out, taking out a large portion of the child's frontal lobe with a massive bite. The owner and operater has said that the so called nuisance will be shut down immediately, leaving the food chain on the brink of failing.
Now, the owner reports that it was a "fox character from the old pizzeria" that perpetrated the crime, but due to that character being in the parts/service room at the time, it's speculated that the animatronic was none other than the famous Fredbear, the front stage character, who would have had full access to the children.
It's said that the old animatronics will be polished up and brought back, while the "toys" will be scrapped, due to the glitch in the system.
So, it wasn't Foxy then? But...then where are the rest of the characters? And where were the other five kids?
•Foxy's P.O.V.•
I could hear all the little scoundrels running around outside my curtains. God how I missed running with them. But I couldn't, not anymore. Not since that son of a bitch fucked with my wiring. Just so that the kids "would be safe from me". I still got blamed.
Freddy was out there, singing his song. Even after everything that happened, they still loved the kids. It was just the adults they distrusted, I didn't blame them. Not a single one of them remembered what happened to us all those years ago. I guess, I was starting to forget as well.
Guess I better wait for midnight.
•Minni's P.O.V.•
My phone ringing in my pocket woke me up from my nap. It was ten, almost time for work. Before the chills could go down my spine though, I answered the phone, a semi-familiar voice on the other end of the line.
"Hey, Minni."
"Oh, hey Mike." I yawned. "What's up?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to meet up for coffee before work? The cafe's open all night."
I jumped at the request. "Sure, that sounds great. I'll be there in ten."
I ended the call before he could say goodbye, buttoning my shirt up on the way out the door. I barely had enough time to put my chopstick through my bun as I ran through town, barely meeting my ten minute promise. He was already there, waiting for me.
"Hey, that was quick."
"I said ten minutes." I panted, taking a seat. One of the baristas handed me a coffee, to which she winked and nodded to Mike next to me.
"And you meant it. A woman of your word." He chuckled. "You look like you just woke up."
"I did, actually. I was up doing research on the stuff that happened at the pizzeria this morning." I paused. "Can I ask you some questions? You know, since you worked there."
"Um, sure. What questions?"
"Did they ever find the kids?" I asked quietly. His eyes darkened, knowing exactly what I was talking about.
"Yeah. They were...stuffed into the animatronics." Mike said. "Ever since then they haven't been right."
"Who were they?"
"Fredrick, Chloe, Brandon, Francis, and Barry."
"Freddy...Chica...Bonnie...Foxy...and...?" I trailed off. "What other animatronic was there?"
"Fredbear. The original Freddy. A lot of people called him Golden." Mike looked at me. "He was scrapped a long time ago, but I swear, sometimes you can see him flash across the camera screen."
I took a deep breath. I hadn't seen anything like that, but then again, I wasn't really looking at the cameras as much as the doors. We chatted away mindlessly as I waited for the clock to tick to eleven fifty, deciding it was my time to leave. Time to start my shift.
And I had a feeling tonight was going to be different.
