I watched from my spot on the stage as Foxy brought Minni into pirates cove to have a "private talk". And of course, he left the curtains open just enough for me to see in. He wanted to prove that if it happened, it happened the right way to win the bet.
"No..." I whispered. I was stuck back in my animatronic mode because of the sunlight, but he...he didn't have a daytime mode. He knew I wouldn't be able to stop him once the sun was up.

"What did you need to talk about?"
I watched Foxy as he stood there, semi awkwardly, like he had a question to ask.
"Do ye...are ye scared of me?" He said finally.
"To be honest, a little." I paused, watching as he looked down. But I reached out, pulling him into another hug like before. "But you know what? You stopped before you did anything. You stopped before you hurt me. Foxy, this will be fixed, I promise."
"So...ye still like me, lassie?"
"Of course." I smiled, looking up at him. He looked back at me, something else in his eyes. I felt his calloused hand on my cheek again, warm and comforting. I don't know why, but I started blushing.
"Why ye cheeks be blushing, lass?"
"I don't know really." I laughed, looking up to see his cheeks just as red. I reached up and put both of my hands over them, feeling the blood rush. He looked shocked, but didn't say anything. "Hey Foxy? You called me your first mate earlier."
"Me did?" He seemed flustered.
"Yeah. What did you mean by that?"
"I'm not sure meself." He chuckled. "I think ye be a worthy pirate though, if ye be wanting the position."
"I'd like that." I smiled, standing on my tiptoes and kissing his cheek. He blushed even more, pulling me tight against him. A sudden honk outside scared the both of us, and he let go immediately. I sighed, remembering that Maylene was probably here. "That's my sister, I'm going to go get the parts."
He nodded, letting me jump off the stage and make a mad dash towards the front door. Maylene was walking up to me, a bag in her hands. I was right, she bought in bulk.
"How was the night shift?" She smiled.
"A bunny got in and I caught it." I chuckled at the memory, taking the bag from her. "I'll go get my bag and be right back out, okay?"
"How the hell did a rabbit get in..."
I ignored her and ran back inside, waving to Foxy on the way to my office. I picked up my backpack and traded it with the bag, slinging it over my shoulders. The flashlights seemed to have been returned, and I didn't even use my phone. Oops. I patted my pockets, sighing. It wasn't even with me.
On the way back out I stopped in front of the main stage. They looked at me, and I knew they were smiling. "Bye guys, I'll see you later."
"Bye..." They whispered back. I jumped as my sister honked her car horn again, sending me scrambling back out the door and to where she was waiting.

I watched the kids play through the crack in my curtain. They all seemed to be loving the animatronics on stage, especially now that they were a bit more reactive to the audience. I saw someone walk by that I recognized: it was May, Minni's sister. I would have called to her, but every robotic bone in my body cried out against it. I saw her walk into the security room and not even a minute later, she and Mike both walked back out. They were headed straight to pirates cove, with the plastic bag in hand. I could hear my tail brushing along the floor as I wagged.
"See this here is old Foxy, the one Minni wants me to fix up." Mike said, looking at May as he climbed up. Like a gentleman, he helped her in as well.
"Who ye be callin' old, matey." I chuckled, watching May's eyes widen.
"I didn't know they could actually talk back." She laughed. "I thought it was pre-programmed."
"I be talking of me own free will e'er since your sister poked her head into me cove." I smiled and sighed, knowing they couldn't see it. "Aye, she be a smart one, that lassie. She be comin' back in before her shift?"
"I don't think so, she was out cold when I left."
"Damn." I sighed. "Lass wanted to make sure this one fixed me right."
"You know I will. I fixed all the other ones." Mike said as he undid the panel in the back of my head. "God, imagine how tired they must get of these kids running everywhere."
"'Naw, they live for it." I sighed, remembering something with a laugh. "Now Mangle though, she be sick and tired of those wee rapscallions. Probably enjoys laying 'round in the back room with Gold and the toys."
"You remember Mangle?" Mike asked as he began replacing broken wires.
"Aye, I remember all the old characters. Fredbear and Bonnie, Mangle, the toys, even that laughing disaster Balloon Boy. They be sitting in maintenance with Marion."
"Marion?" May piped up. She be a quiet lass. I don't mind her.
"The Marionette."
"That things still back there?" Mike inquired.
"Aye. She be laying around with the rest of 'em." I leaned back slightly, only to whisper. "Minni found 'er music box, too. She be an adorable kid."
"Wait, what?" He paused. I just laughed, knowing exactly what I said.
"Ye heard me right, boy. In fact, how about the two of ye stay after hours tonight? We'll surprise yer little sis, May."
"That doesn't sound half bad." She smiled. "What do you say Mike? Ready to be here after hours again?"
I felt him lean close to my ear and whisper, "Are the others...?"
I shook my head. "No, mate. They be fine now, too. Just like me, and just like you."
