"What?" I asked, feeling my blood run cold. Foxy and Gold looked just as horrified as I felt.
"I saw it yesterday, during the game. His eyes blinked like what those really old box TV's used to do when you turned them off. It was for a second, but long enough for me to see it. It happened right when you went through with the dare." She paused. "It's nothing like Foxy's glitch. He's basically losing his mind piece by piece."
"Is there anything at all we can do to stop it?" I asked.
"When he's in his animatronic form, someone needs to check the access panel. The only time something like this could happen is if someone removed the wires for his reactive function." Marion sighed. "It has to be me or Mike. I'd do it, but I'm used to ripping animatronics apart to fix them."
"Did someone say my name?"
Mike suddenly opened the backstage door, looking in curiously. I ran over and grabbed him, pretty much slamming the door closed.
"Mike we need help," I pleaded. "Freddy has a glitch."
"I know."
"You know?!" I screeched. "Why didn't you tell us?!"
"I thought you knew too!" He sputtered. "I saw it when Minni called to fix Foxy. His eyes went black for a moment then back to normal."
"That be fucking wonderful," Foxy growled. "Now we be dealing with Vincent and a homicidal teddy bear."
"Vince is back?" Mike asked.
"Yeah, he's going to be working night shift with me." I felt my brows furrow as everyone slowly turned to stare. "What? Did I say something weird?"
•Foxy's P.O.V.•
"He be working the night shift?" I asked, my stomach dropping to my feet. "Oh no."
"What's wrong?" Minni asked, reaching out for my hand.
"Vincent's the lad that rewired me." I felt the breath hitch in my throat. "That fucking trash be paying for it tonight!"
"Foxy, remember." Minni's voice pushed past my anger. "I'm going to be in the office with him."
"Aye, lass." I sighed. "Do yer Captain a favor tonight, and stay on the side of the right door."
"Are you seriously going to do it...?" She said, her voice cracked with disappointment. I wanted to give in, but this...this was a grudge I was too stubborn to let go of.
"Aye...I'm sorry lassie. The man glitched me out to the point where I almost killed the love of me life. I 'ave to."
Minni nodded, taking a deep breath. I kissed her forehead lightly, the scent of her shampoo lingering as I pulled away. She smiled at me, it was a sad smile, but still a smile.
"Mike, it's almost six right?" She asked.
"Yeah, closing time."
"Gold, Marion, you two know what's going on." Minni stated, her tone becoming stern. "You are going to be in the maintenance room and please, stay safe. But Gold, if you can still, use the tablet so I know when Foxy's running."
"Got it." He handed Plushtrap to Marion before disappearing. She ran off into the back room with the rabbit in her arms, leaving the lass, Mike and I.
"Mike, take May out for dinner. Keep her occupied, take her home, just don't let her come back here."
"I've been looking for an excuse to ask her out on a date anyway." He grinned. "Thanks Minni."
He followed Marion out, closing the door behind him. Minni finally turned to me, an edge to her beautiful blue eyes.
"Foxy, I want you to talk to the gang while they're still in day mode. I'll keep Vincent busy until our shift. But whatever you do, do not tell Freddy about the glitch." She paused. "And for gods sake, be careful."
"Aye lass." I smiled, carefully taking her hand. "I'm sorry I didn't tell ye about the bet. I was just so mad at the damn bear for trying to take ye away..."
She kissed me roughly, sending my heart soaring in my chest again. I could feel it pounding against my ribs, sending the adrenaline through my body. Her kisses felt like drugs. One hit is never enough.
"I forgive you, Captain." She smiled. "I'll go distract Vince. Hurry and get to the others."
I nodded, letting the lass slip through my fingers. She followed Mike and Marion, walking through the back exit. I peeked out of the curtains to see her talking to the bastard, eventually leading him off towards the office. I took the chance to leap off the stage and run to where the other three stood, in which I tumbled slightly over my own feet. I still wasn't quite used to shoes on a hard floor.
"Foxy?" I heard Chica whisper.
"Aye, listen up. Vincent's back and he's doing night shift with the lass."
"Vincent?" Bonny spoke. "The guy that-?"
"Yes lad!" I snapped. "The one that pulled me wires! I be needing yer help tonight."
"How so?" Freddy asked. He seemed interested.
A grin tugged at my lips. "We be on a killin' run tonight."
"You can't be serious!" Chica screeched. "That isn't us Foxy! Not anymore."
"Listen lass, ye don't have to do it yerself. I just be needing distractions until they either run out of power or slip up."
"What about Minni?" Freddy growled. "Do you really want her to see this?"
"The lass agreed to help."
He looked a little stunned, if animatronics could change expression. Both Bonnie and Chica seemed put off by it, but he suddenly chuckled.
"Alright. What's your plan fox."
