I sit upright, gasping for air, and almost as soon as I do so, vomit is spurting from my mouth, and I barely manage to roll over so that it doesn't get all over my bed, somehow making it into the trashcan placed beside my nightstand. I'm coughing and choking and shaking, drenched in sweat. And my head feels like a submarine that dove too deep and is being crushed to death by the intense pressures of the ocean.

What the fuck did I do?

"The comedown from coke can be pretty intense."

I wipe my mouth and look up to find Jaxson perched on the foot of my bed, still dressed in the same clothes from last night.

"What happened?" I say, slumping against my pillow and squeezing my eyes shut to try and release some pressure.

"Well, what all do you remember?" he asks.

I shift to face him more, rubbing my temples as I open my eyes. "Last thing I remember is flying above the city."

"Good," Jaxson says. He gets up and grabs one of my whiskey glasses. "You remember everything." He fills it with water from the sink in my bathroom and offers it to me, sitting a bit closer this time. "You must've passed out at some point while you were in the air, because you crash landed a few streets away from the bar."

I cringe as I remember trying to fly even higher, determined to make it to space. But the higher I flew, the thinner the air grew until it made me so lightheaded that I blacked out.

"How much damage did I do?'

"Well, your father's pissed," Jaxson says, and I groan. "But it seems you're the least of his concerns."

I let out a sigh of relief. "What happened that's worse than what I did?"

"They almost caught your brother last night," he says, and my mouth goes dry.

"They found Lloyd?"

"Yes, but were unsuccessful in capturing him," Jaxson says, and I'm shocked to hear a reassuring tone in his voice. "Your father expects us all on the roof by noon for a meeting on this issue. He also mentioned a demonstration."

Wonder what that could mean.

"What time is it now?"

Jaxson offers me a sheepish smile as he says, "eleven-thirty."

I could almost start crying. My head hurts, I'm getting hot flashes, and I feel like my insides are trying to escape out either end. Today is going to be the worst day ever.

Thirty minutes later, I'm stood before my father with Jaxson and Michael flanking me. Ultra Violet, Killow, Mr. E, and Jasper stand behind Harumi, who approaches my father with a bowed head.

"You asked to see us, Emperor," she says, though her voice is hollow, like she already knows what's about to happen.

"You failed to capture my son," Lord Garmadon growls.

There's a moment of silence where all of her cronies bow their heads shamefully. Then Mr. E does the unthinkable and approaches the impromptu throne.

"Mr. E did everything he could," Harumi says in his defense. "We did not anticipate the Elemental Masters helping the Green Ninja."

Jaxson tenses as the air shifts. My father summons his power and directs it towards the robo-soldier, lifting him into the air and crushing his mechanical insides. Mr. E quivers in pain, but cannot say or do anything, as per his code.

"Please, my Lord of Destruction," Harumi begs. "He's just a machine, built to follow orders."

Screws and cogs begin to fall from Mr. E as he's literally being torn apart from the inside out.
