Chapter - 74

Wang Yibo had woken up a few minutes later after Xiao Zhan left. He thought Zhan went to the bathroom but the door of the bathroom was locked from outside.

Yibo was about to call Zhan when he heard some noise. He frowned and went to the direction of the noise. He stood in front of the door of the adjoint room but stopped when he heard Chen Yu talking about the mastermind.

Yibo didn't understand why Zhan needed to meet Chen Yu and Gu Wei late at night about this. He was feeling uncomfortable but still he stood on the door and heard everything. At the end, he realized something and stood frozen on the spot. He came back to his senses when Zhan opened the door.

"Yi... Yibo. Why are you standing here?" Zhan asked as he came back to his sense.

"You are behind Liu Ming's down fall. Why? Why did you did this?" Yibo asked.

"I will tell you later. Aren't you sleepy? Let's sleep." Zhan said as he tried to touch Yibo but Yibo backed away.

"You knew about that incident long ago. You knew all about me. You were pretending all the time. You were fooling me all the time. You were making fun of me. You were having fun watching me as I make a fool of myself." Yibo shouted and tears started to roll down from his eyes.

"No, Yibo. It's not like this." Zhan said while shaking his head.

Zhan took a step towards Yibo and held Yibo's hand. He pulled Yibo on his arms and forcefully hugged Yibo. Yibo started to struggle but Zhan hugged him tightly.

"I never make fun of you. I never fool you. Please listen to me. Please let me explain." Zhan said while rubbing Yibo's back.

Zhan held Yibo on his arms and Yibo gradually calmed down. Then Zhan led Yibo on the couch. He made Yibo sat on the couch and sat beside Yibo.

"Please let me explain." Zhan said gently and Yibo slowly nodded his head.

Zhan explain Yibo everything. He told Yibo when he investigated Yibo, how he got to know everything.

"I just knew about that incident. I didn't know about your condition or your other sufferings. I didn't know anything else beside it." Zhan said while holding Yibo's hand.

Hearing Zhan's words, Yibo was silent. He remembered the day when Zhan came to him and cried in his arms. Back then he was confused as to why Zhan was crying. Now, he understand.

Yibo felt very complicated. He didn't know how to respond to it. So, he just lowered his eyes.

"That day, you cried? Why did you cry? Did you cry for me? Did you pity me?" Yibo asked in a low voice and bit his lower lip.

"You.. you remembered the day I cried?" Zhan asked and Yibo nodded his head.

"I... I didn't pity you." Zhan said and Yibo stared at him suspiciously.

"Well, maybe I pity you. I don't know. I just know that you are very strong. You went through so much but never give up. I felt pain. I felt someone was suffocating me when I thought what happened to you. I wondered how you endured everything and overcome it." Zhan said and hugged Yibo.

This time, Yibo didn't struggle in the hug. He let Zhan hug him for a while and then broke the hug.

"If you know everything, why didn't you ask me anything?" Yibo asked and bit his lower lip.

"I felt suffocated when I think about it, how can I ask you? I don't dare to ask you anything and reopen your wounds. I don't want to remember your past and suffer again." Zhan said while caressing Yibo's cheek.

Hearing Zhan's words, Yibo felt warm inside. No one had ever thought about him like that. Only Zhan was nice to him, kind to him and considered his feelings without expecting anything in return.
