Xiao Zhan was sleeping peacefully but it didn't last long as the calling bell of his penthouse was ringing nonstop. Zhan didn't have any choice but woke up to open the door.

As soon as Zhan opened the door, Xiao Wei and Xiao Ruyi came inside the house making Zhan frowned.

"What are you doing here?" Zhan asked as he closed the door.

"What do you think?" Ruyi asked as she sat on a couch and Wei sat beside her.

"Xiao Zhan, you didn't explain me anything." Wei said while glaring at Zhan.

"What should I explain you?" Zhan asked as he sat opposite of his parents.

"Explain why did you agree to marry Wang Yibo? Didn't you have a girlfriend? Didn't you want to marry Chen Ling? Then go ahead and marry her. Break this marriage agreement with the Wangs." Ruyi said and Zhan shook his head.

"It's not possible now. Both Xiao Empire and the Wang Empire published an official statement about my and Wang Yibo's marriage. I can't back out of it. Moreover I broke up with Chen Ling." Zhan said and both Wei and Ruyi were surprised.

"You break up with Chen Ling? Why did you break up with her?" Wei asked loudly.

"Then what do you expect from me? Do you expect me to continue an extra marital affair?" Zhan asked coldly.

"I didn't say that." Wei said and glared at Zhan.

"I don't understand why do you agree to marry Wang Yibo, a man in the first place. Aren't you thinking straight? Did you become stupid?" Wei asked angrily.

"I am thinking straight, dad." Zhan said calmly which angered Wei more.

"No, you are not thinking straight. If you are thinking straight then you wouldn't agree to marry a man. Xiao Zhan, do you understand the situation? You agreed to marry a man. Have you forget that you are the heir of Xiao family. You are our only son. You have to give us a male heir so that he could rule over the Xiao family as well as the Xiao Empire." Wei said and Zhan's face turned cold.

"First I have to think about me ruling over the Xiao family and the Xiao Empire before my son. Moreover, who could garrenty that my son will be a businessman like me. So, I have to steady my position in the company by marrying Wang Yibo." Zhan said calmly.

"What do you mean?" Ruyi asked before Wei could say anything.

"Xiao Sheng has been eyeing my position for years. If I refused to marry Wang Yibo then Grandpa would be disappointed. Then he would offer Xiao Sheng to marry Wang Yibo." Zhan said and his parents nodded their heads in agreement.

"I don't know if you two noticed or not, but I have noticed. Xiao Sheng was ready to marry Wang Yibo knowing well that he wouldn't have any heir if he marry Wang Yibo who is a man. Then why do you think he wanted to marry Wang Yibo?" Zhan asked while raising his eyebrow.

"He might be pretending to agree to marry Wang Yibo so that you agreed to marry Wang Yibo." Wei said and Zhan chuckled.

"Why are you laughing?" Wei asked while frowning and Zhan shook his head.

"I think Dad is getting weak in strategics and business." Zhan said with a smile.

"What is your point? Why did Xiao Sheng wants to marry Wang Yibo?" Ruyi asked while frowning.

"Who do you think Wang Yibo is? What is his family background?" Zhan asked but didn't wait for his parents to answer.

"Wang Yibo is the CEO of Wang Empire. He is Finance Minister Wang Yang and the famous writer Wang Yubi's son. His father's family is the wealthiest Wang family while his mother's family is a reputated Wang family where most of the members of the family were either scholars and scientist. With such a heavy and powerful family background, anyone wants to marry him let alone Xiao Sheng." Zhan said and his parents frowned as they didn't fully understand Zhan's point.
