(I'LL BE POSTING PART 2 VERY SOON. SOONER THAN YOU KNOW.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other than having my first day of work at Barnes & Noble, everything was pretty mediocre. However, I couldn't help but think about the note that was left in Nathan's locker the whole time. As I got minute job of organizing and placing books or movies where they were supposed to be, I felt apprehensive. I was always looking around for anyone who might find out what happened to Tony. But finally, my shift was over and I went straight home. I threw my sneakers by my closet and sat down, relieved that I was safe on my bed.
When we arrived for community service the next day, I was reminded of how much I didn't like Alisha. She sat in front of the mirror, applying too much makeup for community service. I began changing into my jumpsuit in the locker room as we figured out who knew we killed Tony.
"Someone knows we killed him" I stated.
"Maybe Sally did" Simon suggested.
"Who's Sally?" Curtis asked.
"The probation worker."
"Well then, you are a twat. Because she didn't show up until the day after we killed the probation worker. And I suppose you know his name too" Nathan commented.
"It's Tony."
"Do you love him?"
"He's right" Kelly said. "She wasn't here."
"If I can turn invisible, I can check to see if anyone puts anything else in our lockers."
"Sounds like a plan" Curtis agreed. He turned to take a long look at Alisha putting makeup in the mirror. It was pretty obvious that he was attracted to her. He turned back around to face us and told Simon "Alright then. Turn invisible." We all looked at Simon, waiting for him to show us his power.
"I-I can't do it when everyone's watching me." We waited a few more seconds but nothing happened.
"Well that's impressive" Alisha said before walking away, the others trailing behind her. I looked at him sympathetically before walking away too. Not because I wanted to follow everyone else, I didn't want to watch him after he said he couldn't do it with spectators. I walked out into the hallway and into the large room to see what our assignment was that day. A younger man carried a large bag full of clothes to add to the pile of clothes we needed to sort before they would shipped to Africa, as if it's a country. I'm not going to lie, the man was pretty cute but I knew that nothing would ever happen between us so I dropped the topic. It annoyed me that we had to go through all of the clothes but I decided that the earlier I started, the earlier I'll be finished.
"If you guys have any questions then just let me know" he stated. Nathan's hand shot up and asked "If a shark and bear had a fight, who would win?"
"If you've got any relevant questions, just ask...Oh and if it's on dry land, I'd bet on the bear." What was supposed to be done correctly turned out to be very random. We jumped in the piles and tried on other things, making a fat joke of it all. But hey, it was much better than organizing them. Eventually, we started sorting the clothes, still making jokes along the way. I was sitting next to Nathan and couldn't stop glancing at his eyes. They were a mix of gray and green it seemed. They had an exciting but innocent look to them. As we sat next to each other, I realized that he isn't always an annoying cunt and that he could be really sweet if you gave him the chance. The whole time, he made hilarious jokes with the intention of getting me to laugh (which worked) and it was then that I saw Nathan as a genuine friend. While deep in thought, he put on ski goggles and asked "Who am I?" before imitating someone singing. Everyone looked at him as if he was speaking another language while I began laughing at his terrible imitation.
