Hello everybody 😁

Happy weekend

I trust you're all doing good
'clears throat' 🤭

Well, without beating around the bush I'll start apologising. I didn't do good and I admit it, I've left you all hanging for four months now without any explanations and I am honestly sorry 😔.
Gomennasai minna 🥺

I was on my SIWES session these period and omo it was not easy, the workload, the logbook filling and technical report coupled with the upcoming presentation. I had to tell Wattpad (Empress Dosha) 'sorry but another time'. And alhamdulillah everything went well, the presentation was on 3rd of this month and again alhamdulillah it was good.

So congratulate me 🥳  I'm in my level 5 now, my final year 🙈
So immediately I said, let me come and update and within few days here it is. They were in my drafts though.

It is served with happiness🙂

So I left you all a cliffhanger in the last chapter.

This one is a flashback dating back to when Rashid was ten years old. To have less confusion, his name used to Yohance then, it is still his name though.

Read carefully 🫂🌹 ❤️ 🥰

And with love 🤗

Warning:There are some gory scenes up ahead.

The Day Innocence Died

"That's enough!" The man's loud voice broke through the afternoon air, making all boys halt their movements.

The two boys froze mid action, their chests heaved in and out heavily, exhausted and drenched in sweat and dust from extreme training in the hot weather. Ali's fists raised in air, which was about aiming at Rashid's face, while the latter laid flat on his back, ready to take the impact, Bello's order halted their actions. Ali's hand trembled slightly before lowering it.

Rashid chuckled mockingly, "You hesitated. You missed your chance to get revenge for what I did." He laughed, brushing the dirt off him.

"No I wasn't hesitant." Ali defended, trailing behind him to the water basin to wash off the grime, "We were ordered to stop and you just got lucky. I'll beat you next time."

Rashid chuckled, dunking his face in the basin, speaking between gurgles of water, "Next time!" His voice muffled in bubbles. "There won't be a next time." He pointed at Ali's face and sprinted off, laughing.

Ali frowned, looking at the basin, "That water is for everyone to use." He muttered, quickly changing the water Rashid just had his whole face in, and rushed to his father Bello, who had called him earlier.

Bello was watching Rashid with a half-smile and a shake of the head. "Yohance, you swing with strength and not purpose. Ali bested you because he trains with heart, learn from that. You have to get stronger than all." Bello said to him, watching as the boy shrugged, throwing his face to another angle. What a nonchalant boy!

"Hmph! He's only better than me here," Rashid scoffed, taking a bite out of his favourite, sugarcane, "But I am better than him at other things." He declared proudly, chewing on his sugarcane.
