The weather was cold, so cold that it gave goosebumps and shivers. It rained so heavily the night before and the earth was soft, it made a slight puddle whenever stepped on.

Rashid dipped back into the river, holding his breath and stayed low before coming back up.

He went back in again for some seconds, and finally came out walking to the bank of the river. The water was also cold but being himself that particular morning, he went into it. After wearing his lower, he looked around, admiring the dark but beautiful scenery before him.

It was the early hours before dawn, he had freshen up already but still decided to just have the cold water on his skin.

He had seen this sloppy river when they rode there yesterday and decided to go there. He inhaled the sweet petrichor sitting on a small rock at the riverside.

His mind went back to Dosha, his wife. They had prayed together that morning before she went back to sleep, after talking about something he had no reply to. He hummed, thinking how another responsibility was now placed on him; a special one. Yes, she was now his Queen and a King needed the support of his Queen to run a great empire. She will also be running a personal empire of the Queen.

He knew she was capable of doing that, but with all that, the marriage also needed it's time, it's value and love and he would make sure of that. Running an empire would come with a great fuss and it can take part of one's mental health if care is not taken of.

His gaze shifted to the upper path of the sloppy land, and he saw her, his love, Dosha. Looks like she had woken up already. She passed him a small smile.

Dosha had thought to herself that she was never going to be able to look at him again after last night's events, she managed when he woke her up, but waking up again, she wanted nothing more than to see him. She walked down from the higher land to where he was sitted.

"How did you find me here?" Rashid asked, on her approach.

"I saw this sloppy area yesterday and thought there was a river in-between. And I figured you will be here, since I only found night guards taking watch and didn't see you," Dosha answered, looking a bit fidgety, walking closer. "I woke up and didn't see you."

His heart bubbled up, he smiled, "You miss me already?" He teased. He just couldn't afford to miss any chance in teasing her, it had became a small habit.

She gave him a small look, grinning, "Maybe," Her eyes went to the water, "You didn't go in there, did you?"

He shrugged, "You can guess the answer." He answered, winking at her to which she hummed, moving closer.

"You'll get a cold later on." She said.

" maanɗaƙi deɗa mí." She couldn't stop herself from blushing hard by his words.

"Did you see what I kept for you?" She nodded, "Did you do it?" She nodded again, but eventually had to answer 'Yes' afterwards.

His eyes scrutinized her, "Okay then. How are you feeling now?" He inquired, holding her hands.

She looked at him with the gesture, she inhaled, "I am feeling much better. It is just a little sore on my neck and back." She gestured. One thing she had learnt from last night was that she has to voice out her feelings, both physical and emotional to him.

"You can not say it is a 'just'," She kind of hated they were talking about this openly even though no one was there, but what could she do? "Come here." He beckoned to her, patting the space in front of him.
