It took some time before Noah had stopped crying, god he felt like such a kid. Crying his eyes out like that. But he had been so scared at what could have happened with his mother, and then realizing that she would be alright, that no harm would come to her. He couldn't stop himself from crying. It had relieved so much tension and worry that had been building inside of him that now, he felt almost back to his normal self.
But as he did he then had a desire for vengeance. That man would pay for what he had done, but Noah knew that he would never be able to execute it. Diana probably could, but he could never ask her to do such a thing.
"Are you alright now?" Diana asked as she released him.
Noah nodded as she handed him a handkerchief to wipe his eyes. "Sorry, I lost myself there. I was just relieved that my Mum is going to be alright."
"Um, guys?" James spoke to get the two's attention. "What's going on? Back there in the dorm room you both acted kind of strange."
Noah looked to Diana, who seemed to be back to the way she was before. "Should we tell him?" he asked.
Diana merely glanced at James before speaking. "If we don't he'll just keep asking questions and drawing more unneeded attention, though if he doesn't shut up I could always knock him out and send him somewhere."
"You know I can hear you right?" James said in an annoyed tone.
"Yeah," Diana responded and cast him a sideways glance. "And I don't care, I mean what I said. You breathe a word to anyone, and I'll knock you out cold before shipping you off somewhere no one will find you."
James cast a confused look to Noah who merely shrugged in response.
In the end Diana told James half of the truth, by that meaning that she lied completely, saying that Noah was being stalked by this strange man, who was originally stalking her with an unknown reason as to why. Though Noah knew little about why this man kept going after Diana he felt like she wouldn't tell him even if he were to ask.
James frowned. "Wait, if you're being stalked by this creep, why not talk to the police?"
"Won't work, I tired that before I came here and he managed to get out but not before hurting some people in the process."
He sat down in the grass cross-legged shocked at what he heard. "Jesus... and your parents, do they know that this guy is after you?"
She shook her head.
Concern filled James's eyes. "You should tell them."
"And what would talking to the dead accomplish exactly?"
James went completely still, Noah felt how James looked, regret in asking about her parents, Noah never bothered considering that if she was as old as Conscious hinted at then the likely hood of her parents even being alive was null and void.
"Oh..." was all James could say in response, clearly bothered by the fact he brought it up, but Diana didn't look concerned by what he had said. James then cleared his throat and tried getting back on topic. "So why is he after Noah then if this guy was originally after you?"
"Because he saw, Noah ran but this man was still occupied with me, I got away eventually and found some of Noah's things. Had I not, Noah might not be here."
"Shit," James muttered again. "This is really screwed up, how can no one realize it?"
Diana didn't answer as she then turned to Noah. "Noah, I'm heading back to class, though with everything that's happened we might be sent home early. Or if you're not feeling up for it..." she handed him a key and a piece of paper. "Here, so you can rest in the flat."
