Mei awoke to find that not only did she have a splitting headache but also that all of her clothes were gone, confusion and panic collided together into one as she looked around the dark room trying to collect her baring's as to what had happened. The last thing that she could remember was that she was at a party with a few college friends, she drank some alcohol and everything became a hazy blur after that. She couldn't remember anything at all.
Then a door opened, the light, though dim, hurt her eyes and took a moment for them to adjust to her surroundings. When her vision cleared the first thing that she recognized was a fellow student from the same university as she, he was looking at her with an almost sickening pleasant smile on his face.
"Oh you're awake; it lasted longer than I thought it would. And here I thought I might have to throw you out as you were not that the guys wouldn't mind seeing that."
Mei looked at the one who spoke to her instantly she recognized the student, it was Yan Su. She had seen him many times on campus and heard many rumors about how he slept with girls that he fancied.
Yan's smile deepened at her. "You were amazing last night you know, you practically tried me out. For someone who had never had sex before you sure were a wild one. But I think now you should get your things, you'll be late for class if you don't hurry."
"You were drugged with some type of date rape drug like rohypnol, ketamine or GHB and probably don't even remember anything until after you woke up. Not being knocked out cold and only to wake up to find the sonofabitch still inside of you."
Mei's head then shot up when hearing knocks on the door to her office, she quickly looked to the clock and saw that it was almost past two in the morning. She had been working a number of days straight, and due to her lack of sleep, thanks to that darn teenager, she constantly kept working into the night trying to purge her memories from the events that had happened years ago.
But even that seemed to be a fruitless endeavor.
"It's open," she said with a slight groggy voice from her lack of sleep. Though as she rubbed her eyes it made her wonder who would be around the office during this time of day.
Her answer was given as the door opened and Lao poked his head into her office with a slight worried expression. "You're boss said that you might still be here, looks like he was right. You look like hell to boot, have you been sleeping here the whole time?"
She ran her hands through her long black hair, it felt oily, she needed a shower but at the moment Mei was too tried to really care. "I've been busy in trying to get a hold of one of Yan's victims. Li-fu Wong, but I keep getting the run around from these lawyers that represent her."
"Still?" Lao asked as Mei got up from her chair and left the office and headed to the bathroom as he followed after her. the place was like a ghost town, not a living soul in sight, though that alone wasn't surprising since it was two in the morning, the only people who were here were them and those who did the late night cleaning. "But it's been three weeks since then; it normally doesn't take this long does it?"
Mei didn't respond as she entered the woman's rest room, in which Lao still followed after her. He wasn't the type to care about things like gender when a situation called for it like now; Lao only cared about the wellbeing of his friends.
"Normally it wouldn't, I'd at least get some type of response. But these guys are extremely persistent." She said as she splashed cold water on her face, she did this several times, trying to wake herself up along with removing day-old makeup from her skin. She was then handed some sheets of paper towels from Lao. "Thank you," when she dried her face she braced her hands along the sink and let out a breath as her head hung low.
