Are you unsatisfied with your life?

Are you unhappy with all the little things you own?

Then come visit the underground store once.

Here you can find a solution to every problem.

We are eagerly awaiting your visit.

A new store has opened in the shopping center near my house and I, having nothing better to do, decide to go check it out.

In all honesty the recent ads have been freaking me out a bit, the shop's mascot just looks wrong.

When it's on tv it always looks like it is staring right at me.

But still I shouldn't let that scare me away, something about it seems to call me. I don't know what it is, but I feel like I have to go. Perhaps it will be something which isn't boring.

Whenever there's something I even slightly like, I buy it, in the hope to fill the void inside of me.

God I feel so empty.

Sometimes I fill that hole with food, but it has all become tasteless, so now I only eat the bare minimum to be able to survive. Don't ask me why, because I don't know either.

The void seems to only grow larger and deeper, perhaps one day it will swallow me whole.

But I don't fear it, perhaps it's just doing it too slow. Can't it hurry up? Make the process at least a little quicker?

I take my bag, put on my jacket and leave my house behind.

Just a couple of minutes later I stand before it, a dark stairway leading down.

I chuckle to myself, there is no one else.

The ads were all over social media and tv, did so many people miss it? Or am I just late?

Then I see something light up in the dark, it's the sign they showed in the commercials!

My heart starts beating a little faster and without a second thought I descend the stairs.

Why does this take so long?

My previous curiosity has now turned into annoyance, I turn around and see a small light spot. It will only be a couple more steps until I won't be able to see it anymore.

I turn back to where I was heading and notice a door that wasn't there before, it slowly swings open on his own.

I wonder how deep underground I am now.

Peaking inside I notice a lit room and a moving shadow, is that staff or another customer like me?

"Good morning!" I greet, surprising myself with the happiness in my own voice. It's far from genuine, but when was the last time I greeted someone this way?

The person almost jumps from my voice and quickly turns around to face me: "G-good morning... Are you here too for..."
