There is something in my house

After having spent hours together, it starts to get dark outside.

"Hey man, sorry I think it's about time that I at least am going to head home." Julian says while carefully standing up.

"I think I'm going too." Sophie says while Lucy nods in agreement.

I guess they are all going to leave together.

Well whatever, it's what friends do right? Julian is probably going to escort the girls back home safely after all, he's a good guy.

"I totally understand, let me at least walk you all back to the cars."

In all truth I'm pretty tired too.

Having my very first house warming party has taken more energy than I expected it to.

Planning everything, buying all the snacks and food for the guests.

Then there is of course the showing around of all those people, hell my whole family came to visit earlier today. Even all of my cousins.

My family is close like that I guess.

Finally my closest friends came, the people whom are now about to leave.

As promised I walk them out and as expected, Julian takes the girls into protection, saying he will take them home.

They leave, I wave them goodbye.

And as they drive off, I walk back inside and lock the door behind me.

Now...

Now it's time to clean up.

Junk everywhere, dirty dishes as far as the eye can see.

But still I feel happy that I was able to have so many people over without much of a problem.

I'm proud to finally have a place to call my own, really, really my own.

I turn on the lights, close the curtains and start to clean.

I've already had dinner with my guests earlier, so I don't feel hungry enough to eat anything else.

I clean up the mess on the floor and stop as I suddenly hear something.

"Hey."

Hey?

That sounded a bit like Julian, or could this just be my imagination?

"Hey man!"

Wait, what the hell? Is it really him?

Did he reconsider the offer? That he could stay the night if he wanted to?

"Hey, Julian?"

"Hmhm." It sounds from the kitchen, did Lucy stay here as well?

I hear a laugh, it can't be anyone besides Sophie, she has a very distinct laugh after all.

"Hey guys, did you secretly stay here?"

Didn't I lock the door though? How did they get inside?

Is the door to the garden still open?
