I slowly counted my breaths until I reached ten, curling my toes and clenching my fists. I waited for the dizzy feeling in my head to subside.

It never failed. When I woke up, it took longer than it should to reconnect pieces of what happened the night before. I didn't mind. It was one of the only side effects I suffered from when it came to the pills.

I was curled up on my bed facing the wall. I was still only in my underwear on top of the covers.

I groaned, turning over. My muscles were stiff from being in a ball all night.

"Please answer your phone," Margaret's voice pleaded from her bed. I looked over at her. She wasn't even looking at me. She was drawing in her sketchpad. "One of your boyfriends has been calling non-stop."

I sighed, sitting up. "It's probably Zayn," I said more to myself.

"He came by earlier." Her voice was monotone. "Told me to tell you he's sorry."

I rolled my eyes and reached for my phone. "When did you get back?" I bothered to ask.

"Two hours ago."

Seven missed calls from Louis and Myles combined within the past hour. "Oh my God," I gasped. "It's one o'clock?!"

"You haven't moved since I got in here. Almost thought you were dead." She said it with no expression at all.

I quickly called Louis back, hopping off the bed to gather my toiletries.

"Where the hell are you?!" Louis exclaimed after the second ring.

"I'm sorry," I immediately apologised. "I slept in and I didn't hear my phone ring-"

"Slept in?!" he snapped. "It's way past noon! What are you, a vampire?!"

"Louis, I'm sorry."

"You would've been here by now-"

"Look, I'm gonna go take a quick shower and I'll speed over."

"I don't care if you have a thousand cops following you! Get your ass over here!" He hung up and I sighed.

I hesitantly slipped on the shirt from last night and made my way to the showers. I had to keep reminding myself not to lose my mind under the water. I had to hurry up or Louis was going to have my ass stuffed and hung on a wall.

After quickly getting dressed, I drove an hour outside of town to meet the boys. Tiff let me borrow her car for the day. They were in the middle of a one-on-one match on the field.

I stood where they had set up our traditional little picnic. Well it was traditional now. Every time we got together, the boys would bring a bunch of food the coaches don't normally allow them to eat.

Louis ran across the field with the ball, Myles at his heel. With one swift kick that knocked him off his feet, the ball flew into the net of the goal. Louis didn't think twice about starting his bad mouthing.

"Did you see that mate," he teased. "That's called a goal! Do you know what that is?"

"Piss off man!" Myles shoved him away. "I let you win."

"Whatever! You're getting slow on me."

"Yellow card!" I yelled out to them. I had sat myself down on the large blanket with my legs stretched out and crossed in front of me.

Both heads turned to me. A big smile spread across Myles's face. Louis, on the other hand, glared at me.

They both made their way to me, Louis with his hands on his hips. "What part of 'meet at noon' do you not understand?" he scolded.
